He acts as a broker whenever gets a chance. we have seen him to negotiate between Union Government and the Maoists that resulted in killing of Maoist leader Azad. He was seen participating in program to halt industrialization in west Bengal. Now in new Avatar as mediator between Union Governmeent and Anna. Is he not a chameleon? His dress and name suggest his true identity is camouflaged.

Root cause of corruption
by Insaniyat KaDushman on Apr 11, 2011 06:00 PM

root cause of corruption is CAPITALISTIC (PROFIT) BASED PRODUCTION SYSTEM.

How we can expect the corruption free system when people doing everything just for profit , its applied for a small industrialist to top officials of administration and Govt as well .

Govt or any ruling party is bound to follow the open market policies rules made by USA and G20 countries, This is ultimate point of corruption,

Aam aadmi is not responsible for corruption at all.

Lets be on Guard
by Sonia Sing on Apr 11, 2011 05:59 PM  | Hide replies

The Euphoric and optimistic public and civil society members needs to excercise more vigilant and keep a close watch on what the members of Govt panel are saying and doing in private and public on Lokpal Bill.

The Congress members on the govt panel are clearly at unease and Two Members, the FM Mr. Mukherjee and Telecom Minister Mr. Sibal would like to follow the footsteps of Mr. Pawar, hence they have made outragious and outlandish observation on the efficacy of the Lokpal Bill to curb corruption even before the first sitting of the joint Commitee is held, sheduled to be held on 16th. April.

This is the sort of negative attitude and mindset of the congress ministers on the panel that can be a impediment and hurdle in the drafting of a no non-sense Lokpal bill.

If these ministers are uncomfortable to be in the panel, then rather tahn making these kind of ridiculous statements they resign from the panel as there is no derth of will in the people to press the bill.

The congress members should have the basic awareness that this Lokpal bill is not Poltical or any party issue but the soverign People's want.

The major impact of this bill would be on Ministers, Polticians, Govt Babus, Judges, and other govt officials. The Bill break the unholy Corruption and Scandal nexus between Minister-Politician - Babu-Corporate- Judge- Criminal. So, if this syndicate is straightned from the strangles of Corruption and Scam, then lower down, things would be much better for "Aam Admi".

Lets Remember the saying " Jaisa Raja(not A. Raja) waisi Praja".

Therefore, Mr. Sharad Pawar is happy to quit and Mr. Mukherjee and Sibal are feeling uneasy to be in the drafting panel, becoz they know the bill will choke the channel of Corruption on which bad governance system works.

As an after thought, it appears that PM, Mr. Singh was perhaps very shrewd to have had Mr. Pawar in the Anti Corruption drafting panel to curb his negative tendency and die hard habbit of being corrupt.

so, Mr. Pawar sensed this and at the very first sign of public protest was very happy to opt out of the panel to free himself from the shakles of Anti Corruption bill to continue with his weird habbit.

Root cause of corruption is our family system
by ashutosh gupta on Apr 11, 2011 05:55 PM  | Hide replies

Corruption cannot only be defined in terms of money.
Casteism, Nepotism, Jugaad, Reservation, Bribery etc are all Corruption.

Actually the root cause of Corruption is our societal setup, wherein what matters first is our family, then caste, then religion, then region and then finally comes our nation.

A person who do anything to defend a relative no matter how much heinous crime he or she would have done. That feeling paralyzes administration, judiciary and politics as what then matters is emotion rather than the rule of law.

Corruption in India will always remain. As a matter of fact, people like to be corrupt in order to earn little more than what they are earning legally. Everyone has that feeling whether a businessman or a government official.

However, society raises hue and cry only when a person of the level of clerk all of a sudden loot so much that he gets into the society of ultra rich. Our society doesn't bother when peanuts are been looted but yes when someone starts looting in crores and crores then pressure from each segement of society is raised.

Overall, our society allows adding a little water in milk however when a little milk is added into water and then termed as Milk is highly objected to.
