Instead of making big discussions and fuss on ganesh Idols which is a matter of once in a year, these ecologists should find out solutions and stop major ecological problems created by use of plastics, paints, tharmacol and many other items which destroys ecology on very large scale and create pollution and environmental problems.
Damn the ecologists who have problem only with Hindu fests .
They dont have courage or guts to question -the ecological damage caused by other religious fests. Western nations are more culprit of ecology, still they have problem witth Indian fests which is not so damaging to ecology as others.
Infact atleast -Indians are so understanding that some people are following eco-friendly ways to save the nature.

These ecologists are paid puppets of some big parties. They can't see thousands of man grooves destroyed by builders by throwing chemicals on them and fielding sea water from entering in to that area. Why can't look into such more important matters?
I am ready to become a full time (non violent) member of RSS if they devote all their resources to make Ganga a clean and pollution free river. That will show their true love for the Hindu cause.

Ears back Rajiv Gandhi and Congress spent crores of rupees to clean up ganats. After spending such a big amount has the Ganga become clean?
The great Ecologists, where were you when there are oil spills, Dangerous gases eminating from manufacturing units, devastating chemical bombs are being prepared? In all what is the percentage of the so called pollution being caused either by POP or Colors..... Why dont you guys stop using plastic? Can any Ecologist say that he is not using plastic. So, wake up guys...... dont try to act as intellectuals committed for eco conservation. If you want publicity do it with some positive note, not attacking HINDUISM or its practices, now a days it has become an easy way to get popularity.....

You are right. They have not spared Diwali either. A Hindu festival of course. They of course have no issues with the ecological degradation caused by the excessive consumption of meat etc. caused by the festivals of other communities. You know which festival(s) I am talking about. No, that small sparkler I light, or that cracker I burst for Diwali is the ultimate villain. Ecologists should be called hypocrites. Unfortunately gullible schoolkids often fall for their propaganda.

execssive consumption of meat...my dear harish..go to any non-veg restaurant..you will find them full of so called vegetarian hindus.
Did yourmother told you that? Thousands tons of toxic waste is being dumped in Ganga Yamuna and all other rivers rivulets ponds and lakes all over India. Ecologists are worried about our god and his 5 gms of paint polluting their tiny environment. I give 2 cents for this cry babies who shout over the roof tops for getting noticed or being famous or getting their plastic faces on the PAGE 3.

You can't deny that the afore-mentioned festival does involve considerable cruelty, much more than any hypothetical cruelty involved in dumping an idol into the sea. So, why don't you just gracefully accept it? Maybe have the broad mind to do something about such strange dogmatic religious practices such as bleeding an animal to death? I suppose people will always justify it, since religion becomes the ultimate sacred cow for some.
