Four young protesters shot dead in Kashmir
by RB on Sep 06, 2010 10:47 PM  | Hide replies

Four more young protesters have been killed by security forces in Indian-controlled Kashmir as violence continues to sweep the disputed Himalayan region. The latest deaths, including that of a teenage student, occurred Monday when Indian forces opened fire in an area in north of the state summer capital Srinagar. The protests began after Indian troops shot and killed a Kashmiri schoolboy in early June. The protestors want independence from New Delhi. Seventy thousands have been killed in volatile Indian-administered Kashmir since 1989.

Give Kahmiris what they want-only 10 districts that too part of them do not want to disassociate.GIVE EVERYBODY WHAT THEY WANT.Restore `rajwares` to rajahs and chief ministers, laloos, mayavatis, and patnaiks their share, sugar kingdoms to pawars, khalitans to sikhs.all that exists in their devil brains.they can go to any extent. why not buy peace and unite who believe in one India.we will be far better off.i know this is defeatists mind, i want someone to convince.

Kashnir's freedom movement etc.
by Mohan Kaul on Sep 06, 2010 10:33 PM

Why not interview Sajjad Lone's daughter, and seek her views on the What U call Kashmir's freedom movement. It would be good if Bula Devi also tries to find out what is happening to Gilgit and Baltistan's freedom movement, or that of the so-called AJK. Kashmiri Pandits also deserve some Freedom Zone in the Valley. How about that. Asma Khan surely must have some views on these things also. Rediff can enlighten on the ticklish issues. And lastly, what is the birth place of Amanullah Khan.--- MLK

I cann't see what is preventing Kashmiris from declaring a Kosovo-like freedom, now that the ICJ has also ratified it.

Buddy, hv ur information corrected. first of all Kashmir is not Kosovo; second, the secretary gen of UN has catagorically stated that Kashmir is a bilateral issue; third, Kashmir is an integral part of India because they enjoy Indian constitutional right.
Now, u look at the paki occupied Kashmir. They cant even retain it and have sold off a part of it to China. The muslims are called Mohajirs and are trampled by the paki punjabi army. Above all, they do not even have any constitutional right.
By changing ur name u cant hide ur porki identity, get a life u loser

It was 9/11 ,the world trade centre attack when it was decided that Kashmir as well as the Palestine issues will not be solved by terror tactics.
The Paki authorities and ISI realized this fact on the same day that their Kashmir policy would not work anymore. It was V Prabhakaran of LTTE who did not understood this changed scenario and he and his LTTE got totallty eliminated.
The reason is till 9/11 the USA has conviniently neglected towards any form of terrorism in any part of world as far as it was not directly impacted by it.But with 9/11 USA realized that the terror has reached its doorstep. In a quick action it started banning terror outfits, its logistics support at global level.
Today,USA being Pakistan ally and an old friend cannot afford Kashmir becomign an independant state or even part of Paksitan,as that would give boom to the Jehadi terrorism, even China knows that if the seperatis movement in Kashmir suceeds, the immediate threat is for its Ugher province where muslims are in majority and the seperatist movement is going on.
What India need to do is just to tajke advanytage of this situation and keep the people away from the sepratists by implementing effective administrations and policies.
Kashmir issue is already resolved in favor of India. the remaining part(PoK) would be part of India with the final breakup of Pakistan which is on the verge of collapse.

No,you are wrong,in 1947 these were the same people who fought the pakistani intruders before our Army reach srinagar. They supported and fed our army as it was fighting the pakisoldier.Do not blame them all for few bad apples.

It is becoming a reality eventually. China may support Pakistan but woudl never want Kashmir to go in the hands of Paksitan as it has immedaite threat to its sovereignty. Also China knows it very well that India would never attack it or support any terrroists camps on its soil against China. So China also wants that India shoudl not loose anything. The only thing China wants that India shoudl not be much influenced by USA.

We had 93000 s01dierrs and five lakh sq kms of Pak land in our Custody. The late Mrs.IndiraGandhi, an otherwise brave lady, wasted that opportunity to settle Kashmir issue once and for all. She was swayed by the pleadings of the late Z.A.Bhutto. He asked for time to sign the "Shim1aAgreement" saying that if he signed the same, what ever is left of Pak would also disintegrate. Once he returned to 1zlamabad, he changed his c0lour. The p00r fellow was hanged by his own countrymen like mad_d0g.

ZA Bhutto practices the classic case of Al Taqquiya! The Pakis got 4,00,000 plus soldoers released and later this turncoat announced that Pakis were willing to eat grass if required but would match India in nuclear weapons! Bhutto got what he deserved as did his duplicitious daughter Benazir!
