oh is it? go ask soniaji how many missionaries she has left in the open to spread christianity all over India..
Such incidences will open the eyes of our Police Officers and Ministers. Actually, Naxals are showing the way to kidnap these people. Then only they will understand the miseries of people. Shameful that Police do not have any confidence of people after 60 years of independence.

I hope Rahul gandhi supports this police officer and brings her to parliament when he speaks there next
Buthow come in maya's world of corruption, somebody can try to cause disruption to corrupt guys? And why did she want to go cinematic way to nab the guys single handed? After all such things are not possible in real life. She could have very well told the media men or just caught them in video from a distance or got a group of her own policemen. Is this lack of knack or training to the officer? On the contrary, by pushing her aside, the assailants have only helped her in not getting dragged further; she would sure have died if they had sped faster in the car and the entire incident would have been recorded as some accident.
Now the next normal course would be, place the assailants under suspension for a couple of months and return them to the same posting. Transfer this lady to some other office-table post and cut off her public dealings immediately so that other policemen can continue their activities uninterrupted.
I am just not surprised; UP police are a totally different lot.It is a totally different culture and way of life.Everybody in UP is there under the umbrella of their mercy. They have totally different standards and modus operandie. They can do anything to anybody, especially the people on the lower end. They are the satans of UP.They behave like monitors of hell. They look into only commercial viability of their movements. For example a beggar is untouchable for them. They will turn a blind eye even if found commiting a crime. If the crime rate in a particular area is low ; open a Police post in that area and you will see a sudden surge in crime rate. In short : UP police means most hardened criminals moving in uniforms. But I see plenty of that FADED uniform in UP.

I don't think Pakistanis would be anymore corrupt than Indians. Pakistanis suffer because of their wrong (political/ideological/religious) believes? But Indians very well know that the government is corrupt and is not to be trusted. And usually Indians don't bring religion to politics. Bringing region and caste to politics is totally fair game.

First, are you sure she stopped them to stop corruption? Or was it to get her share of the dues which her subordinates were not giving her.

either way .... for good or for bad ... she caught them catching bribe
often such low level corruption does not feed into high ranking officers ... they don't collect much ... maybe 50-100 rupees, but when you multiply it by the number of trucks crossing their post, it becomes a goldmine

Removing corruption from India is a near impossible thing and cannot be achieved in atleast 20-30 years.
Just like politicians, Police also believes that they have a birth-right to loot people and country.
Its hard to believe that the constables would indulge in extortion without assent from their higher-ups including their SP. Its a standard practice across allover India and all the bribes are systematically divided between police and politicans.
I am sure this lady Kalpana Saxena had rushed to catch the constables because they were not sending her the share from extortion money which she had demanded.
But if she is really as honest as she is trying to show herself to be, I am sure she would be soon shunted out to some obscure corner of the state.
Isn't that how democracy is suppose to work, by the consent of the majority - doesn't matter if its right or wrong.
