Just like politicians, Police also believes that they have a birth-right to loot people and country.
I am sure this lady Kalpana Saxena had rushed to catch the constables because they were not sending her the share from extortion money which she had demanded.

You speak like a govt. extortionist. How much money do you extort and from whom?

If this IPS officer was so honest, why did she go there with only her driver and one gunner? Also to be noted is she went after some armymen complained? Is it possible that some common man has not complained earlier?
This whole incidence is fishy, and has any bystander (not a police personnel) given evidence that she was there to catch the constables? Unless somebody comes forward its difficult to believe that the altercation between these two group of police personnels was because of any pious purpose.

She wanted to catch the culprits "red handed" and the wait for more forces could have led to the culprits escaping.Further, I see no reason not to act on an Army man's complaint. It could be anyone else as well. Instead of finding everything fishy, one would do well to appreciate the brave deed of Police officers, even when they are so rare.Good examples and deeds must be respected.DXrMW

How do you know that it was bravery or greed which drove that IPS officer to catch those constables? Extortion by police officers is not unknown in almost any part of India. You will find it happening in almost every big and small cities in the name of violation of some traffic rules or others.
Its hard to believe that she didn't know that some of her subordinates were extorting money from truckers without her knowledge!!! Usually in these kind of situation everybody from top to bottom including politicians are involved.
If really her intention was good we would know of it when she is shunted to obscure corner of the state.

There's no "We" in your last statement. Its only you. You are entitled to have ur opinion no matter however staggering is the evidence to the contrary.

YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THAT A WOMAN CAN BE MORE FAITHFUL TO THE DUTY THAN A MAN.
If UP government has commitment, then they should enquire and give Kalpanaji an immediate promotion as she has risked her life and punish the guilty policemen.
Re: UP government should show commitment to honest police persons

Police person risking life for catching culprits??? You must be joking. I am sure the constables had refused to share the extortion money with her. That is why she went to catch them.

By definition a police personnel cannot be honest. If some police personnel is honest, then its an exception rather than a rule. And without undeniable proof I cannot accept that this lady had honest intentions.
Its people like you who use emotion rather than your head while criticizing or applauding somebody.

Well this is India. We still have many police personnel who are honest everywhere. Maybe ur experiences are correct w.r.t Pak police. An officer taking on bribery in broad daylight at the cost of her life in full view ... And still someone needs "undeniable evidence"... lol... Keep on looking dude. All the best for ur quest! (Btw no one is obliged to prove anything to you).
