Whom are trying to fool!?

Obama administration did nothing for the nuclear bill (taking credit for the Bushs success is so mean), instead it tried every thing to scuttle Indias interest at China, at Pakistan and in Afghanistan. For Nuclear liability bill US will have to respect the the laws of another democratic country, or else it can leave it to other countries who are interested in doing business with in the existing laws.

Mr. Nicholas Burns. This is how it is gonna be, if suppliers are interested & capable of supplying under the framework, they may do it. No one is forcing them. We need to extra cautious after Bhopal incident.

get lost...

The Nuclear Liability Bill in brief: It basically sets a liability/accountability on the concerned persons/organisations in case of industrial/nuclear accidents. What the MNCs want is that they shud NOT be held accountable for any nuclear accidents due to the negligience of their Indian counterparts!!! So, as long as they mint money in India, its ok, but in case of accidents, they will not be liable, just like Union Carbide for Bhopal Disaster!!! This is NOT DONE !!

Cancel the nuclear deal
by Raj malhotra on Oct 21, 2010 11:59 AM  | Hide replies

THE US-India nuclear bill should be immediately cancel as they serve only US multinatonal companies intrest only as they wanted earn billions & trillions of dollars on the dead bodies of innocent people who might suffer in case of accidents. Remember Bhopal tragedy how Anderson fly off scott free and until now he is having luxurious life in US and in our side people are still suffering miserably since 20 years.
If something happen (God forbid) these US hypocrities fly off scott free again.
AS we are good enough to take care of our energy needs and we should not make these deals on our poeple dead bodies.
Hope politicians will ever learn the lesson from Bhopal gas targedy.

Mr Burn, why don't you take rest if you are no more in Govt?
by Joseph Purathur on Oct 21, 2010 11:50 AM

The tone and tenor of Mr. Burn is typical of the so-called DEVELOPED world in matters related to the DEVELOPING world. There is no doubt in his stand, he stands for the well being of the PRIVATE SECTOR which is the backbone of the USA. We, India, will have to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of 1.2 billion Indians. The Nuclear Deal can wait. Mr Burn's views are timed to Obama's India visit, and are intended to bring pressure on Govt of India. India should not succumb to Burn's threats (caution). He says, he is retired, and if so, why can't he bother about things that are currently under his purview? Take rest, Mr. Burn. India knows how to handle its matters.

now the us does not have any leverage to make india pass the bill the way to its liking.indian laws will have to be respected otherwise they cn go sell their nke reactors to the porkis or wherever they want.what about dual use technology restrictions.it isnot to indias liking and they should amend that before preaching india.the us keeps on giving aid to the porkis knowing very well that they are behind the main masterminds for terrorism.rediff is a western stooge trying to show its western leanings and sychophancy towards the secularists whole time.
