See how the top dog is shivering in cold as its behind the scene chatter is exposed to the full glare of global view. Still the one thing which is beyond my understanding is how the top dog's security measure is so pathetic. The country which gave birth to internet, the great(?) OS with many security features and many modern innovation to its credit is ripped apart by a disgruntled soldier. This shows governments across worldwide are not that much tech savvy and has no built in security feature for their electronic assets.

See, the people who make security measures, sell the key (consider security measures as locks) for money. Its a never ending cycle, just like a smuggler invents new ways to smuggle things.

No one is a trusted ally. Every country has its own priorities. If Indians can realize that and take advantage of the situation as it presents itself, that will be good. There wont be no knight in shining armor to help India. Patriotism alone isn't enough. One has to be shrewd too. And posting messages on Rediff is not going to make any difference.

US is the obvious natural choice for ally whether it's for economy or fighting against those terrorists . They have common interests and that's what matters for the benefits of Indians and not the irrelevant details of US like you mentioned attitude & cunningness (whatever that means ) !

US is not an ally. It's a business partner .... Indians make the mistake of thinking of USA as an ally or a friend ... No!!
USA is just a business partner ... you wanna do business with USA then fine. if you don't then fine too ... just don't regard them as allies
The Americans were never part of the plan until American began to sniff EU Central-Asia strategy
>>>>>>>>>>>>>> About Journalists: "These (expletive) journalists, especially from the National Guardian, who poke their noses everywhere" and (presumably) make it harder for British businessmen to do business. About the US: "The Americans don't understand geography. Never have. In the UK, we have the best geography teachers in the world!"
Yet another zinger: "Our stupid (sic) British and American governments plan at best for ten years whereas people in this part of the world plan for centuries." >>>>>>>>>>>>
Some americans have nowe begun to sniff EU strategy for Africas, Middle-east, South-Americas, etc.
I think the wikileaks about India need not have been such a big surprise if only we were a little less delusional about out capabilities, successes & stature in the world. A country that does not respect its own people...how can the anybody else respect us?
In the world of realpolitik no body gives anything to anybody on a platter. It's time we get real.

very true Shakti... more like the cat gwtting some dirt stripes and thinking that it became a TIGER!!!
India can now gauge how serious our 'friends' are with whatever they say about India in public.
India has to quitely ensure its borders are secured with the best technology available without blaring about it to the whole world.
Keep away from the UN. The government should not embarrass the ordinary Indians by begging for a permanent seat. The world do not feel India is worthy of it. So, we shhould not be in this organisation.

It was always known even to the common man that US is making a fool out of Indian Politicians by making sure their Swiss Banks are filled up in return for maintaining their commercial interests. USA is a country of double standards, who are the primary reason for so much of pain and despair in this world, economically, militarily and politically. It is time they are dismantled as a world force, and allow some self appointed front runners like India, Brazil to make the world a better place for all, instead of war mongering, and imposing themselves on others.

Don't subscribe to the services provided by Airtel. Biggest decoit in telecom sector. Looting public by sending free promotional sms. If someone by mistake opens and clicks on the menu card, he or she has to shelve out min. 30 Rs. Besides, their customer care telephone is also charged if one is out of his place of posting. First of all, not many subscribers know as how they can talk to their call centre agents as the service provided by them is pesky.
Big looters Airtel. Needs to thoroughly probe their income . Surely something wrong is brewing in this company.

You are absolutely right. Even I am facing the same problem with Airtel.
When number portability becomes operational, the first thing I will do is to change to the other service provider.
It is unfortunate that Airtel's customers' problems are not being addressed and people like us have to post comment on Rediff to share our common problems.
