Hero Chandpuri had a rebirth in Sunny Deol's BORDER
by Kalyan Kumar on Nov 23, 2010 03:16 AM

Saluting KS Chandpuri. He was immortalised by Sunny Deol in Border-India's War Classic. Heroes like KS Chandpuri must be made the mandatory faculty in defence institutes like NDA. Their valour and foresight should not go waste and rather thrill every soldier and civilian.

by defence analysts world wide, where 300 Spartans faced off with a Million persians. After great bravery and staggering losses to parsees, all the spartan soldiers died.

Indian Army -120 , casualities- 2 dead.
Pakistani army - 2000, casualities- 200 dead.

It was complete decimation of pak forces by Brig Chandpuri. Pakistanis literally ran for their lives.

It also was a slap in the face of pak army which boasted that 6 Indian soldiers were equal to one pakistani. In this case reverse was true.

Absolutely. What an Indian Soldier needs is a free hand and govt. support, then see, forget the Pakis, even the Chinese will be at bay.

yes the chinese did at rezang la in 1962. google for "shaitan singh kumaon regiment". the battle at rezang la pass saw 120 indian soldiers fight to finish against 10000 chinese soldiers. end result was india lost all 120 men but chinese lost more than 5000 men. there are even accounts of indian soldiers ripping apart chinese with rifle knifes and bare hands at this battle as they ran out of ammo from the declassified CIA and KGB files.
