Rediff needs to act responsibly
by Prakash Pandey on Mar 30, 2010 06:45 PM

Recreating the big bang successfully would be a pathbreaking achievement, but the present case is not the same. It is unfortunate that rediff is using sensationalist claims to apparently increase the hits to the page. It is NOT EVEN CLOSE to recreating the beginnning of the universe.....all that they've done is cause a high speed collision..... The big bang however marked the beginning of spacetime. It can not be done unless can move beyond the spacetime continuum or somehow create nothing out (at least in isolation) .

I wonder if all our top leaders were asked to just read this article, how many would actually understand what this is about????

In search of the Boson - the God particle
by Pradip Rabindranath on Mar 30, 2010 06:31 PM  | Hide replies

Guys, a lot of Vedas and Quran bashing is going on here . But here is the actual great Indian contribution.

This great experiment at the French Swiss border is to find out if the elusive and mother of all sub atomic particle - the Boson; to be precise the Higg's Boson exisits in nature.

The Boson is the subatomic particle named after Satyender Nath Bose, the original propounder of this theory. He and Einstien suggested such a partcle exisits, Higgs's of UK further refined it in 1964 and now the actual tests are being conducted to break the atom to it's smallest unit! Higg's postulation was that any other massless photon coming in the field of the Boson creates mass ...

So there is a great Indian contribution to this whole Big-Bang Theory. And today's experiment is to find what happens when photons come in the field of Bosons!

Poetic , Romantic versions are captured by poets and presented to various religious scriptures.

this big bang theory itself is a false theory

But please allow the scientific temper to rule. If a theory is false, please prove it so by experiments ... and not by irrational thoughts and behaviour.

Rgds.

Big Bang

Most of the experiments not to be reveals as they are dangerous to the earth. Finding the big bang is it self small thing when we compared to the the vedas. Our maharshis kept these as secrets as per the yugha dharma as we are most foolish people in this yuga. As I studies some where with the speed of 10 to the power of -41 where the universe formed, and withing the time 10 to the power of -21 the matter formed. Go for vedas and look you can find the more information than any one

I do respect Swami Vivekananda ... but personally whats needed is a scientific approach than philosophical one ... i mean if they don't have the formulas there should actually be a theory to deduce them ... hop u understand what I mean ...

my congrats to people involved, directly or indirectly, in the test.I also share my feelings with like minded people. The best tribute to such people ( invloved in the test) would be to not discuss those who hv only one job ------criticise

Our own version ...
by Pradip Rabindranath on Mar 30, 2010 06:04 PM  | Hide replies

Our own version of the cyclotron is being developed (rather secretly) at the foot-hills of Ooty, near a place called Masingudi.

Not many know of it; but we are in the process of building a 4 km cyclotron beneath the earth at that place!

Best regards,

Pradip
