D.Goel , Pkl. afternoon, 3.20pm, Tuesday, march 9, 2010.
i have no doubt this young UN Under Secretary
at mid age of 53yrs . and a reputation for being a writer of some consequence and a better journalist has kept his admirers amused by his witty Twitters. He has arriviste image.
He can have clever turn of Phrase , and like Nirad Babu of yester Generations can arouse lot of enthusiasm amongst Anglo-Phile INDIANS.
whether he can be an effective politician ,as well is problematic- D. Goel

Most of the Indian English media comprise of people from coaching classes. And most among them are wet behind the ears type who jump at the sight of a familiar phrase or sentence or expression. They simply do not bother to verify the context , neither do they have idiomatic understanding of a language (which is a native speaker's virtue).

So these guys jump and interpret things the way their whims please and our man Tharoor is always end up taking English classes to these moron from media.

well said

in english most of the words give different meaning with different context.

and to understand the idiomatic i think we need to understand native speakers virtue.

what we indians do (i mean those are not trained)we translate in to our own native speakers virtue.

one thing is sure . 26 english letters makes us to become perfect till we get old or till we get die
