What big deal
by kiran kumar on Jun 23, 2010 02:25 PM

When admitting CBSE and ICSE students in Maharashtra, they students should be allowed to pick the 5 subjects they want to showcase.

FOr admitting Maharashtra SSC students outside the state they should have an option to have all 6 subjects on their marksheet or their numerator should be added by the pass mark (35/40) and denominator by 100.

STUPIDITY
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Jun 23, 2010 02:17 PM

These Stu*pid politicians have all along trying to do something stupid with the education system ,basically to garner votes .As such the evaluation system has been made a mockery .It is ridiculous people scoring over 99 % .The number of students scoring 90 is also something to ponder. The problem is when and wherever politicians enter it is disaster - time and aging this has been proved .If they can not improve the system atleast let them not destroy whatever good aspects are there.

Dr Ambedkar only modified Manu. Manu decreed hundred percent reservations for the brahmins, kshatriyas and vaishyas and zero percent for Dalits whereas Dr Ambedkar ensured that Dalits got fifteen percent reservation while the forward castes got seventy seven point five percent.

these CBSE and ICSE students are getting huge marks due to linient checking. SSC checking is very strict so there is huge injustice to SSC students. Its so Pathetic only 21 parents can bring the govt to its knees. Pathetic Judiciary system. I am sure there is huge interests flowing in here.. I pity the Judiciary and those 21 parents, who much be Rich class people..

I pity people make such loose remarks . SSC v/s ICSE & CBSE. I myself studied in SSC board and when i compare it with my sons CBSE or his friends ICSE curriculum the difference is SSC curriculam gives more importance only to the 1st 3 IQ's. (1)Linguistic and verbal intelligence,(good with words)
(2). Logical intelligence (good with math and logic) & (3) Spatial intelligence (good with pictures) where as ICSE & CBSE gives weightage to the rest of IQ's also like:- (4)Body/movement intelligence (good with activities),(5) Musical intelligence (good with rhythm),
(6)Interpersonal intelligence ( good with communication),(7) Intrapersonal intelligence ( good with analyzing things)& (8) Naturalist intelligence ( good with understanding natural world).
Sibal is slowly trying to bring all this under one umbrella and make one common education system in the long run as he knows that suddenly changes system is not fesible or advisable.

it is HC's judgement.
if chosing science stream you cannot leave maths or science in best of 5 if lower marks in them.

good decision..
by Dhantannan on Jun 23, 2010 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

it was horrible to see thousands of students getting 99 % , 100 % aggregate.
this gives false confidence to students.
as it is CBSE, SSC,ICSE percentage obtained is based on rote learning.
real knowledge is tested in enterance exams.

i disagree, entrance exams are definitely not the ultimate test of knowledge.... they have a pattern and if one follows it, he can succeed...

Have you ever studied in CBSE or ICSE board if no then you have not right to say this. In fact these board are more tough to crack then this SSC. The syllabus is much more advanced and tough. I don't understand if they think that CBSE and ICSE are more liberal then I must say there is a positive marking on what you have written and to the point unlike the SSC where you have put in all the Ramayan to get few marks.

I completely agree to what Ashutosh says.
And why talks of banning ICSE board in Maharashtra. Staying in Maharashtra will not mean I cannot study where I want.
Tomorrow you might come up saying dont do a MBA from international university... Stop all this...

Mockery of judiciary
by R L on Jun 23, 2010 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

This is more a mockery of the judiciary which has favoured 21 rich, scheming parents over 16 lakh SSC students. Why did the parents move the court at the 11th hour ? Cant the judiciary see that its a move aimed at holding the state to ransom and creating a pressure build up at the last moment ? The judiciary is hand in glove with these elitist. An enquiry should be initiated against the judges and this result challenged in the supreme court

This only proves that the elite want to have the cake and eat it too !
It is a tragedy that judiciary also plays along as it is also a part of the same system .
I will suggest SSC Board also to change their pattern of awarding class and percentage on similar lines as others .As the saying goes ,If you cannot beat them ,join them .
