If some other board ICSC or CBSC is liberal the government can workout a method to normalise the same in lieu of this funny best of 5 rule.

Thats what the govt. did. The decision of the govt. was given before exam and SSC students studied accordingly. Now they cannot change that. Who will see the injustice to the SSC students. When govt. had decided before exam, why ICSE students reverse it now. why not then only. SSC students would have studied accordingly

Govt's decision for best of five was merely to satisfy their ego which was punctured for 2 consecutive previous years when it lost in the court. They can as well liberalise their marking system instead of keeping their ego and spoiling the future of students.

The best five rule was declared early this year.So why other board people kept mum till now. It's already too late & admission has not begun yet and this will lead to more wastage of time.

Rightly said. Were they sleeping when best of 5 was implemented before the exam???? If they wanted the SSC students to get less marks then why can't we file a case on them that after the results and marksheets were given out they questioned. HC, ICSE & Government ke beech mein SSC wale phas gaye. Why didn't the government consult the judiciary before implementing such laws. If they had declared BEST OF 5 before the exam they have to give it back.
As it is upto VIII standard its govt decision not to detain any student, so let this be extended and be decided that once a student is enrolled in school a period of 17 years his or her graduation certificate is guaranteed without writing any sort of exams.
With such future citizens our nation is bound to be full of craps who will be fit only for politics as no brain is needed there
This is happening only in India where there is no standard education pattern followed. Really we are very poor country. It is very difficult to change in India till there is political influences as well as corruption.

The education policy is in the hands of not academicians but politicians. you can't expect anything better.y8kWY
In the 'best of five' case the Maharashtra Government has made a mockery of legislation. The esteemed legislative body/minister to appease the common people has made a fool of itself for the last 3 years in SSC board versus other boards fight. Their decisions to favour SSC students over other boards have not stood the legal scrutiny on the grounds of natural justice and constitutional validity. This misconstrued directives lead to wasting High Courts valuable time and increasing the agony of innocent students but the Government continues to make blunders repeatedly. Its high time the public and judiciary demand that action be taken against Departments / Ministers who pass directives which do not stand judicial scrutiny to ensure that such instances are not repeated in future.

In Maharashtra it is SSC. In Tamilnadu they scrapped the entrance examinations to Merdical and engineering colleges on the grounds that the children coming from rural areas find it difficult to take these entrance tests. Is the decision not funny?

The reason for such 'misconstrued directives' is that the people who are behind them have no inkling about the educational system or its values. They go ahead without understanding the repurcussions and invariably they are not affected by such decisions since they get what they want by exercising their power and influence.
