in my opinion it is arjun singh and party is the culprit. he should be left to public for action of this genocide took place in bhopal. probably all those killed were not indian but foreigners and that is why the indian govt did not bother to take any serious action. Now all blame game will be played by these criminals to confuse the countrymen.

Business As Usual

HIV and Aids brought lots of money to Pharma Companies and Doctors.Bhopal disaster brought lots of money to the Law community and Legal profession. Now the Minister is eyeing pie and want to have a piece of cake. The Damn problem was caused by Ministers, the then ministers who gave licences,Got kickbacks, managed to delay the verdicts by interference so thet Bhopal becomes so irrelevant. Now the current ministers want a stake at the new found opportunity. So the issue is to make tons of money all the way even in disaster. Now they under the pretext of'clean-up' would use clout against Judiciary and Americans, not for the sake of the Bhopal Gas Victims but only to increase their power and importance. And Money.Today unless one has triple benefits no one ventures to do anything!! Very,Very Funny and DISGUSTING!!

India of 1980s was very different from today. At that time we were a poor third world country and literally had to beg Russia/US for our economic needs.

It was the pressure from the Reagan administration that Anderson had to be released. We had no other option but to comply.

There are situations when you have to cave in. It happened to VP Singh when he released terrorists to free Rubaiyya and to Vajpayee/Advani when they released Masood Azhar and others.

The accident was unfortunate but no single person is to blame.

The seed for a crisis were sown when the factory was allowed to set up in a densely populated area within city limits. That is like keeping explosives in your house. At some point things will go wrong.

Murphys Law states that if Anything has to go wrong it surely will.Involving Safety and Enviromental professionals is a must. But with NERI being managed by political underworld wrong clearences are being given.Instance: Lafarge in Maghalaya and Jaitapur in Konkan!!Incidently communities develop around the factories.Eg Gas Chamber Chembur around RCF,BPCL,HP and Tata. Then the factory is shifted after disaster. The politicians buy stake in that land in advance and take credit for shifting hazardous process industry. This goes on as a model in every town and city.DISGRACE!!

It was the families of the Kandahar hostages, and the pseudo-secular-covert-ops English media, who forced the NDA govt to hand over the terrorists.

What will illiterate and corrupt ministers do?
by samir shah on Jun 11, 2010 03:28 AM  | Hide replies

Why this buggers (politicians and ministers) are eating hard earned tax payers money.

Govt. would have easily provided the funding to the bhopal gas tragedy victims rather then running a trial for 26 years and eventually failing miserably to deliver justice.

We want educated and reputed people to probe this and not the celebrity or vip persons.

Time to scrap and rebuild the constitution with a validity of 30/40 years.

The Politicans and inefficent Beaurocrats have brought much penury and frustation to the citizens........
Sometimes, we are made to think that WHAT if the British People were here now, we would have been more happy and content and less hungry.............. Sometimes, we are forced to think this way......
India, all National and smaller parties lack GOOD AND HONEST Leadership.......... who is visionary as well.
The corruption lobby is ruling the roost everywhere who have downgraded the humanity to the lowest level.....
Cheating is Today's mantra for success....
We were more Humans some decades ago but now we are more Animals....
Everywhere common Indian is let down be it Bhopal fiasco to everything.................

There is no creativity on part of the politicains and leaders.Only opportunism.Because they dont have creativity to run the country, they find great association with Actors,Singers sport persons and corrupt them too.Writers generally distance themselves but in maharashtra even 'Sahitya' Litterature is now politicized and corporatized.Illerterate people are more ambitious than educated due to inferirity complex. They have dreams to control lots of IITians,IIM Grads,Superspecialists etc. They take help of Lawyers,Journalists and Chartered Accountants to achieve their objectives. They use you up and then forget you!!

All Politicians are Lying ?
by Singh Shivdev on Jun 11, 2010 12:21 AM

What were all the politicians doing in these 25 years? No one ever bothered to hear voices of Bhopal victims during their protests & dharna's .
Now all politicians from all parties especially Congress & BJP are shedding crocodile tears, but why ?No need of that now ,everything is over now.I would appreciate a lot if all parties pool their funds to distribute reasonably to all affected.
I would rate the role of our Tele Media worst ,why they are bringing old stories in front of us ?They should have done all these things during trial. It is better they keep themselves away from such matters after everything has been boiled.
