You are correct! We should all unite under the leadership of Mdm Sonia Gandhi, Dr Manmohan Singh and Mr Rahul Gandhi (with Ms Priyanka Gandhi waiting in the wings).

INvestigation completed?
by BR on Jul 24, 2010 01:07 AM

So, it is signal failure and brake failure. Why did this not get reported first? Instead we are hearing it from somebody else?

Statements must be issued from Mamata or a police invetigator as to what is the cause. No one can just go on air and say anything they want. What am I believe now?

System failure?
Driver failure?
Driver depressed?
Naxal problem?
CPI(M) problem?

I don't see any problem in Indian Railways

1. The food available is TOP QUALITY.
2. Fantastic Security and Safety.
3. The Coaches are Modern. If fire breaks out - it is so rugged and closed - that it will keep everything(one) inside.
4. The berths are so modern. Even old people find it easy to get on to the top berth.
5. Railways Minister is world class. Within seconds of accident - she knows the cause.
6. It is world's largest employer. No skills necessary, just flash your caste certificate or contacts - you are in.
7. No one ever asks for a bribe. Even when you load your 2-wheeler into train - the attendant demands bribe never asks.
8. 70 Km/hour is considered Express. 75 Km/Hour is SuperFast. Thank God, we don't have bullet trains - else they might run at 80 Km/Hour.

Its all so cute.

Indian railways
by jagannathmishra on Jul 23, 2010 11:04 PM  | Hide replies

Indian railways is thrice as employed than needed. Meaning there are 3 people for each job to be done. As one person works other two draws salary - from tax payer's money. We nurtured this monster. They are less than half efficient when it comes to managing the largest transportation system in the world.

Sad.

We need a dictator.

In Government organizations the criteria for promotions is on the basis of seniority and caste.... and not on the basis of talent or capability.. Moreover, it is always the core or nucleus team which works in any Govt. organization. Rest all must still be enjoying...

This could be a effort from airline lobby to increase their share of passengers by discouraging modernisation of railways by feeding the top officials.

Railways are the most affordable and comfortable ways of transportation and For example China is doing everything possible to make train journeys safe , comfortable and fast as possible . Thats the way to go

All regionalism
by sprout on Jul 23, 2010 10:44 PM  | Hide replies

All regionalists, relionists must be wiped out from India. people who claim they are superior to others in the same country must be completely wiped out to the roots. India can not survive if these low life filth command our lives. Just kill all of them - by law. As in pass a law where regionalism is treason. Which means any one who argues on the basis of language or culture within India must be killed. It must be India and India only.

Enemies
by sprout on Jul 23, 2010 10:40 PM  | Hide replies

Every one who obstruct the path of India's growth of India is an enemy of India and must be killed. Period. Bring about a law to this effect.

Ban all unions.

Kill any one who violates law - drunk driving, eve teasing, cheating, corruption, vandalism etc.

We need harsh instruments to preserve the largest democracy.

This is not UK where civilized people talk and act in a civilized way.

We are like tribesmen fighting for survival. We need sterner laws. And cleaning up at the top.

I am glad you mention eve teasing as an offence. It has become culture-ingrained in some regions of the country.
