Firing ranges always maintain a very, very high level of security and safety. It is just not possible that a naval officer of 30 years experience is killed accidentally. He is mostly certainly murdered. In a country where the govt. is reluctant and shy of enforcing any discipline and strict actions against any crime, such things will only continue albeit on an increasing scale.

correct. our I.P.C. is not indian penal code. in stead it is so built by great heros of congress to act asd international paradise for criminans I.P.C.it is neither for security of the nation nor for its common citizens.it is for security of criminals in a secular way ie.irrespective of indian or abroad & more offten for pakistanis & chinese.
It frightens that if such incidents can happen to a Chief of one of our important Forces , what aboubt the common man. Our heart felt condolences to the bereaved family for this irrepairable loss. But something smells fishy. Will we ever know the truth ?????

The naval soldier referred to you above for having assaulted Rajiv Gandhi was a srilankan soldier who attacked him while inspecting a guard of honour in Colombo after the IPKF was sent to Lanka.
While referring to the armed forces it would be fair to first know the truth.
