Condolence to the family. As usual it is negligence at its best. 1. How come the chief was walking around the firing range. 2. How come the officers didn't know about the visit of the chief to the firing range?.3. How come there were no guards watching the firing range and stopping intruders. So many unaswered questions.
THIS IS THE HEIGHT OF IRRESPONSIBILTY ON PART OF THE NAVY. WHERE ARE WE HEADING? LET US HOPE NO DISGRUNTLED NAVYMAN DELIBERATELY FIRED A BULLET TO KILL.
if this can happen to VVIps of a disciplined forces then what can be expected of lower ranks. So security rings should be monitored and redone aftre conssidering all aspects
It is very unfortunate that the Chief of Southern Naval Command died in fire accident. It is a great loss to the nation and to the bereaved family. May his sould rest in peace. We should thoroughly investigate the cause of fire and ensure that no such incident happens in future. I have recently visited India's largest naval ship and understand how a fire can cause such a casualty. So we should not speculate on the causes and wait for the investigation report.

looks like you did'nt read it properly.. it says the chief was accidentally hit by a stray bullet, as the firing range (where troops practice their firing..) is very close.

Why are you so much negative on everything? Do you think you Mr Perfect and have the guts to do everything for which you are criticizing everyone?
If you have the guts please move ahead and take the leadership of the country....
