Neither Australia nor Pakistan is bigger threat to India. The biggest threat to India is China. And the biggest threat to the world is Terr0r1sm.
Even after succesfully signing nuclear deal with USA and other nuclear fuel rich countries, Australia refused to supply nuclear fuel to India. Very arrogant of them. Indian Govt had to make them hurt wherever possible...one way is to limit economic coperation with them...they are doing that too...business relations with Australia are going to be affected for sure...other way is to hurt Australia's booming education industry. For Australian universities India is a very lucrative market as far as getting students are concern...i dont know but may be highest % of foreign students in Aus Uni are indians..if India can stop students going Aus for education they will hit where it hurts a little ... these attacks used to take place earlier as well...but suddenly Indian media started highlighting them as much as possible and positioned them as racial (may or may not be) but this strategy seems to be working...less and less students from india are now opting for australian universities...kool .. lets see how far australia can go...India should keep pressurising australia...
The day is not far when the same government will say avoid Maharashtra too as they cant do anything... Finally it will be all over India and they will say NRIs please avoid coming back to India too...

Whether 9 year olds or 90 year olds, it is a concern to all Indians if the culprits indulge in such heinous crimes. It is sad that such things happen, but then it can happen anywhere in the world, whether its Lanka or India or USA or anywhere else.

Best thing would be to maintain the country's pride. Indians should stop thinking now for higher education available in Australia or for that matter other countries of western province. Good education is now available in India and so many westerns students now study in India because of good education system. Some more reforms can be made in the system to generate good leaders. Furthermore, Indians should really stop doing the low paid and menial jobs outside . Government should seriously think over this.

Actually, it is not a joke ! Education is still very inexpensive in India compared to developed nations. One can argue if getting an Indian degree is as good as getting a degree in US or Australia but it is a matter of affordability.
For someone who can afford the costs, getting a degree in US, Australia, etc. will be (most likely, not always) better than getting a degree from India simply because of better curriculum, more focus on practicals than theory, better examination system, etc.
But for most middle class folks, getting an education in India is still the best option !
