I am not sure after going over the details of costs of running the session of our Parliament , whom to blame for this disappointing spectacle.G.Spectrum involving Presumptive loss of massive RS 172 Thousand Crores of rupees under Raja and his UPAPatrons or Opposition that have refused to accept any compromise short of Joint Parliamentary Committe to investigate this Scam. It is high time, that Indian polity should evolve a Fool-Proof strategy to handle such sorry and disgraceful Scams, as it is thisis not goingto be the Last such disaster and it is likely others may get uncovered bow or later , too. We must mend this procedural failure of Governance and supervision of public Funds and policies related to them soonest. It is shame that weare cluelessfow to develop a proper method to tackle such Scandals. D. Goel

Go through Nira Radia tapes. It will clearly show how Karunanidhi bargained ministries for his family. You can even see the in-fighting in his family wherein Radia talks about Maran calling Azhagiri as Rowdy and criminal and who hasnt even completed 5th standard. Also Radia telling Vir Sanghvi that Maran had given 600 Crores to Dayalu to get into cabinet and had also described Karunanidhi as "Old Man who will pass away soon and congress has to deal with us - Read Maran & Stalin.

When compared the losses caused to the exchequer by DMK CONG,this loss is meagre.Let parliament not to function any more so as to reduce accumulated losses.We will have redefine the word HONEST becuase of our PM's involvement in all scam.

CAG has clearly indicted Raja on the count that he backdated the auction process and gave licenses at throw-away prices to dubious companies. Inspite of the rule that the license cannot be re-sold for 3 years, those dubious companies sold the same licenses with 10 times more than they had bought it within 10 days, which itself a clear violation of TRAI policy. The clearest proof is we are seeing news daily supreme court blasting Raja on different counts.

But never utter a word when MAHA burns because of RAJ or when there is 3 bandhs every month in kerala.

During NDA time, Telecom was just a budding sector and not many companies were bidding. Hence, instead of keeping the licenses at cold storage, it was sold at cheap rates, since whatever amount the government got itself is a profit, instead of the government keeping those licenses for itself - which wont fetch revenue. Besides, Licenses were given to genuine companies and not letter pad companies. Those companies which got license didnt flout TRAI policy by re-selling those licenses within 3 years. This point is the proof that Raja had indulged in corruption.
It is not even a 0.0001% of the entire 2G "Scam" figure.
Second issue is our opposition has no issue to discuss or challenge with Govt. except agree with the very matured programme's of the Govt.
Hence, only the alternative to asert thier authority as MP's is to collectively stall the business of Govt. and there by harm the Aam Aadmi and waste tax payers money.
Poeple of India must know, how are the opposition to reply and show thier accountability to thier electrorate of thier foolish behaviour of not allowing the Parliament to function.
Whom are they accountable? or is it that they can take Citizens for a ride in the name of needing a JPC probe. Are they not answerableaccountable to the rule of parliament and to people who have elected them to govern?.

It is the ruling party which has to show accountability by ordering a JPC after stinging comment by supreme court not only in 2G but also in appointment of tainted CVC who is overseeing this investigation. Ultimately italianmafiachor wont allow any JPC as she herself will be caught.

The judges who were dealing with Kerla and Karnatka issues are not the same judges who are investigating spectrum scam. Instead of defending Raja, Karunanidhi is brazenly bringing up Aryan-Dalit issues, infact he doesnt have any defence of Raja.

Answer this simple questions: 1. Why did Raja give licenses to companies which have nothing to do with Telecom? 2. Why didnt he cancel those licenses when they re-sold it within 2 weeks when the rule clearly says that they cannot sell it for 3 years?

What can parliaminet debate conclude with ruling majority ? Why ruling party is not accepting JPC ? You better read CAG carefully. It is not only about 1.76Lakh Cr. Raja has violated all norms of a Govt auction.
We dont mind spending 95 crs. if 1,70,000 cr could be recovered & guilty shot dead through a JPC. This parliament is the fountainhead of corruption. 500 odd people sit there to devise ways to loot all of us. What use it is to function and spend our money again.
The media is trying to focus issue from 2lakh crore scandal to some sensational Neera radia phone tapping, their right to do so etc etc. Now a new topic of parliament disruption. what is the use of a parliament, if such a huge scandal happened and the culprits managed to evade the house? so rediff stop these rubbish. took out something substantial.
