Even if parliament works for a whole day, what productive result it brings? Nothing. 1.There are no useful valuable debates about national or international problems. 2.Ruling party does not allow opposition motions even if they are in the national interest. 3.Ruling party achieves its objectives through force by virtue of its majority rather than by convincing. 4.If time available is less, parliament passes a number of motions, at one go without any debate. 5.ONLY If the issue involves hike in pay for MPs, there is unusual unity and cooperation between opposition and ruling party MPs in passing it. 6.Attendance in parliament is very poor. Hardly any MP attends parliament for the sake of discussing any issue. They attend only if any whip is issued by their party. Whether the parliament works for 5 minutes or 5 hours no useful business is transacted. So it does not matter anymore. People have lost faith in Parliamentary democracy.

the above said figures are of 50 years of parliament run by congress !
for the scam of the size of 2G, the govt must fall...the stalling of parliament is a small cost. 1.75 lak crore....this number itself suggests that the opposition demand is justified, even though I think this govt must be asked to resign..PM, all cabinet ministers must resign...MMS proves again and again that he has no control, or vision...the nation has been fooled by sonia and her coterie..

nonsense. here is a party which has the audacity to continue in power in spite of doing nothing while 1.7 lac crores was being looted and all the channels will talk about 95 100 crores due to parliament being boycotted. this country will progress only when congress is buried deep into oblivion
Actually, we should lock the parliament and ask the MPs to live like ordinary Indians. This way way we will save the money being spent on parliament, prevent further scams and allow the people to improve their life.
