What leadership? Just decorating a chair?
by Shri Hegde on Dec 02, 2010 11:08 AM

Then the 44% are wrong, there's no leadership here. If they are referring to PM chair, then I am surprised with this number - 44% means 2.6 billion people of the world - that ain't possible.

The number is wrong it should be 100%
by Ramdev baba on Dec 02, 2010 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

This statistic is wrong. The number should be 100% BECAUSE NO LEADERSHIP EXISTS IN INDIA. THE LAST LEADERSHIP WE HAD WAS PROBABLY THE PESHWAS BUT THAT WAS MORE THAN 250 YEARS AGO. THIS CLOWN MMS SHOULD NOT BE CLASSIFIED AS A CHAPRASI LET ALONE A LEADER.

I also don't know who is the leader of india because president has no powers, above president is CJI of SC. Above this is Prime Minister MMS, above MMS is rahul gandhi, above him is SG.
So who is the top leader of india? PM or president or party president?

Most of the Indians (Specially North scums) can't even figure out the rest of India properly. Sometimes they even think if the small states of NE were ever a part of India...so what's the big deal here if Indian politicians doesn't even sound to the International Community!!!! LOL

You are right to a certain extent. North Indian fools think that only North India is the real India and South Indian and Eastern Indian states are just part of India by chance.

For good reasons ... :-))
by sudhanshu singh on Dec 02, 2010 10:29 AM

In the last decade if you take the international events and its trends ... majority of the events that have ocured is negative or say terror and counter terror events.

In the same period electronic media have rized considerably, which is fond of catering negative publicity, playing propoganda and other publicity stunts for the people governments or organizations if they pay the media well.

Hence, in such a world the countries who are know more as per the said survey in 2009 and seriously those who are constantly in news for some or the other reason, majority for wrong reasons. I can say without any doubt that China and US tops the list.

India and Indian leadership is not involved in any such propoganda nor they run negative publicity channels.

Infact India have successfully thwarted Pakistan in its propoganda game internationally. India have came back stronger in providing aids to the Tsunami hit countries. First country to reached with help aids was the India ship to the surprise of China, US and Pakistan.

India made more than 300 kms of road and build many strategic structures in war torn Afganistan in order to help Afganistan to rebuild quiclky. India gave $1 bn aid to Bangladsh as an economic aid and signed other trade treties with the neighbour.

Among all the disturbances on its western and northern border and among the continues more than 2 decades of proxy war on the western and northern border India have achieved 7-8% growth.Nobody knows this aswell

We have neither the military strength nor the economic clout to command respsect.Nehru was heard with some respect, until India's military defeat in 1962,when the leader of the nonaligned movement ran crying to US for fighter planes.(Even President Ragdhakrishnan's US visit was used to discuss arms aid).Kennedy asked how India could not fight for even two weeks while Churchill coud hold on for two years.Nehru's letter about the Chinese aggression to the king of Nepal received a very stinging reply.President V.V.Giri was forced to walk out of Prince Birendra's wedding when King Mahendra chided him (President of India)with utter comtempt. When Lal Bahadur visited Latin America he was received by the number two ministers of the cabinet.Sirimavo easily outwitted him in the talks about Tamil citizenship. Not only the Sinhalese but even Indian leaders(eg.Charan Singh)said our Prime Minister was easily duped.Indira Gandhi for all her faults could restore our self respect,by impressing Lyndon Johnson and standing up to Richard Nixon. Her successors are political midgets who are abhorred in India due to their incompetence to hold the country together and despiced by foreigners for inability to live peacefully with her neighbours. Our leaders are "mighty" only in the magnitude of their corruption.

Sensational Headline
by Milind Phadke on Dec 02, 2010 10:14 AM  | Hide replies

I think the same will apply to most of the countries in the world , why sensationalise to draw false conclusions linking it to India's demand for UNSC permanent seat ? Well, based on the values presented in the article, 56% ( much more than half) at least think that they know "enough" about the leadership to give an opinion.Even in case of the other 44% some of them seem to have said that they do not have "sufficient information" ( it does not mean that all of them havent even heard of them), where does that lead us ? A totally opposite conclusion based on the same numbers? This is how the same news can be presented in a totally different way just by giving a self-opiniated headline.
