We Indians have to be proud of the fact that our armed forces are responsible for creation of Bangladesh and also for the existence of Maldives(from LTTE threat).
In India the biggest problems are the leaders. Though Indians blame British for partition of India, the main culprits were Nehru, Jinnah and Mujibur Rahman. All these people wanted to be the PMs, and the only way was to partition India. So, with help of British, India was divided.
So, what is the main driving force behind all these evils? The extreme greed of some people for power.
In recent times, Thakareys are doing same. They are greedy to control Mumbai and Maharastra and trying to do it by barking 'Marathi first, Indian later'. Public are sometimes fools (read 'brain washed') and sometimes afraid to talk against them.
Most north east people are brainwashed by leaders of militant groups. They don't celebrate the Independence day of India. A lot of them (brainwashed people) hate India and others are afraid of militants. What if all north east people are kicked out of other Indian cities? Will they be able to sustain as country without any cooperation from India? They are behaving like those who make hole in the plate they eat in.
Govt of India should consider anti-India act as terrorism and take it very seriously. If Govt of India fails to do it immediately, India will become collection of 28 or more countries (all states becoming an independent country).
Also, India needs to be more active in improving states in north eastern parts. Govt need to make enough effort to make those people realize they are parts of India and the govt care for them.

Please stay away from this conversation, and try to keep Lanka together. India may be a British concept, but Bharat is an eternal concept. Bharatvarsha is a civilizational state as opposed to the "nation-state" concept of European countries. With your twisted logic soon USA may need to be broken into many countries, as there will be latinos speaking Spanish, middle easterners with Arabic, Chinese and Indians, black Africans...Why don't you understand that countries like India and USA are melting pots and despite having all four gene pools they are one nation, as their underpinnings emerge from the idea of "unity in diversity." You Lankans with "Napoleon complex" should try and comprehend the idea of Bharatvarsh and how far within South Asia and central Asia vedic civilization had managed to reach and influence cultures. It is sad that someone like you who witnessed the terrorism of Tamil guerillas and used brute force to kill even innocent Tamils, sympothize with these secessionist elements and have the nerve to enter this conversation.

The interests of an Individual his culture/caste/religion/creed are not greater than the society that he thrives on, which again is not above the state that it feeds on. Manipur its culture,traditions and heritage are not suppressed by the Indian state. India is above all. Regarding split up of states note what happened to USSR!!.

Mr. 'The Democracy', Do you celebrate the Independence Day? How many people in India celebrate Independence day in India, and not treat it like a holiday? Do not generalise people based on caste, creed, region etc. This is racism.
'patriots' like you are more dangerous to India than Pakistan.
With hearts and minds it is completely divided country with small section of population enjoying while huge majority is suffering from one corner to other corner. In case of war with China India will fall very very easily because those suffering will not defend corrupt elements mainly Brahmins and Baniyas.

In the current set up of things, there is a very remote possibility of a physical war with India by China. However Pakistan will continue its stupid suicide ventures like Kargil. Note we are a Nuclear power state and irrespective of consequences we can use the weapon if our borders are compromised.

Europe has been stable after 2 world wars and Genocides and Jew Holocast much due to the US efforts in that region.
Even now their currencies and economies are going bankrupt, while the Indian system is the most viable. Ex-Greece, Spain and next UK. India is the future.

As far as GOI is concerned, they are not concerned at all for the people, not only North East, but that doesnt mean rest of the India has created issues.
Besides RELATIVE lack of INFRASTRUCTURE makes North East yet more of difficult place to handel !!
