While one is used for polling and other already manipulated channel could be used for counting. 2.You can also use a counter program so that after every 5 times the buttons are pressed, the 6th press of any button automatically go to particalar party account. 3.A timer program can also be used that after particular time say 3pm, whatever button is pressed then it should be registered in a particular parties account. 4.Like we use bluetooth technology to communicate between mobiles, systems, the stored results can be monitored through wireless network and can be changed at the required time. Like this there is n number of possibilities are there to tamper EVM. In Tamilnadu there is evidence based on results. In the consituency called Sivakasi where Vaiko was defeated by an unkown candidate nominated by Rajiv, the number of votes announced as polled on voting day was different from number of votes counted on counting day. The margin for victory was almost same to the diffence of votes polled and counted. EC simply ignored it that it is calculation mistake done on voting day. It happened in constituency where PC won also. He was trailing till the last round and all of a sudden he was announced as won. Re: How it can be tempared by abhinav on Aug 12, 2010 02:10 PM @sameek...........pleasue google and read 'democracy at risk' by GVL Narsimha Rao......it is freely available on net.... the EVMs are controlled by a microchip.......the software for this microchip is loaded in a foriegn country......and then sent to India..........- while it could have easily been done by BEL (bharath electronics limited).......noone knows why it is so - why foriegn countries are loading software into the EVMs...... EC which claims authenticity of this EVM and tamper proof of this EVM have no idea of - weather the software loaded into these microchips is correct or not......... there was a project called 'authentication unit'..........started by BEL to check the authenticity of the same...........but was stopped by navin Chawla for unknown reasons...... if u know something about software.........then u must be knowing that a trojan can easily be loaded along with the original software...........while loading the software into the microchip.............trojans remain normally inactive...........but are programmed to become active during a specific election time or through a button etc....... the most important proof is that......navin chawla refuses to have paper trial of EVMs..........if he thinks they r tamper proof and working properly..........why is he afraid of paper trial..........    Forward   |   Report abuse

Everything, just about everything is manipulat-able about these machines. They did it in the US on every rung of elections and since the US public is actually interested in who they elect, a bunch of people investigated this and found the alterations of the operation of the hardware on every level. In the recent telengana election the election was held with ballot paper because more than 50 candidates contested in every constituency and hence EVM can't support it. If Congress still go to election with EVM without doing any developement activities for 50 years of being in power then we should field more than 50 dummy candidates so that naturally they have to abndon EVM.
