Interview ..

In AP, if there was one person who took Naxals then it was NTR & Chandrababu. Naxals raised its head during COngress Period when Congress has stealthly asked (Chenna Reddy) for their support around election time. The very task force of Grey hound which hunted down Naxals was NTR's idea. It is different the Naxal became a headache for Congress later but re-emergence of Naxals in AP is a congress contribution.

Honest effort for development
by pulak taraphdar on Apr 28, 2010 10:56 PM  | Hide replies

Honest effort for development can only solve the problem. Maoist and naxals are our fellow countrymen. It is wrong to assume that they are guided by foreign mercenaries. Corruption of govt officials and nexus between unscrupulous businessmen and police force always caused exploitation of tribals and poor villagers. For them Govt and their representatives became enemies. Give them nutrition, education and health. Then only the problem of mistrust and enimosity will end.

True. On one end we ignore that powerful people in this country hide their illegal income (actually this helps fund terrorism) abroad and then give a conveneint excuse that Maoists are anti-naionals.

Surely, some socio-economic realites need to be considered. It is not a pre-dimensional problem. Naxals need to understand that the CRPF personnel killed were poor, powerless and had families to feed.

Dantewala Killings
by Dharmendra Verma on Apr 28, 2010 10:34 PM  | Hide replies

Dear sir, It was a well planned ,well organised killing by the determined killers whose leaders are hiding and roaming in Metro cities and enjoying a comfortable life in power corridors. They also make foreign trips to see their "akas" and to fetch money . The problem should be seen inthe context that they are guided by foreign land and do not beleive in democrative set up and want to break it to appease their foreign masters instead of serving the tribals. You have to handle the well organized Gaurillas who are trained for merciless killing. Further the politicians who are depending upon them to muster support and votes by getting their diktat in their favour usally show a lip sympathy for the tribals. As regards Humanright groups are concerned lesser saic is better. For them killing of Army Jawans,Police People, Hindus( includes Jain and Sikhs) do not come in the perview of Human rights Act.
If it is a game of our enemy country who is encouraging them to be more and more unlawful to create more anarcy and poverty to create more distrust towards the local, state, and central Govt. Making a difference on the bases of political lines to handle this problem will to be more dangerolus to everyone of us including those who are dragging Home Minister's leg.
Please remember that after 1962 Chinese Aggression, When Parliament passed resolution condemning the China ,there was a political party , bycotted the Parliament. Seeds of such thoughts are still nurs

There name "Maoist" itself suggests that their thought process is not pro-democracy. If they can spend money for getting arms better than CRPF. Then they can use that money for development Or they can leave this country & go to those who supply funding & arms.

It seems along with Muslim bashing, now Maoist bashing has become a trend in our country. Let's get into the root of the problem and try to fix it. The tribal Indians have all rights to their nation's resources. If denied, they must fight to get those rights. If I have to choose between corrupt/anti-national politicians and the Maoist, I will go with the latter.

Political Action and Social Reaction
by Rajan Sodankur on Apr 28, 2010 10:26 PM

The public support to and growth of Maosim and Naxalism are directly proportional to the extent of failure of government in stopping corruption and negligence of its officers, delays and distortions of justice and excesses by police. Did a government which allows Rs 65 per day for 100 days only in a year under rural employment and follows honest tax payers like hunting dog ever ask how non-practising professional or non-business (wo)men politicians like Mayawati, Karunanidhi, Lalu, Chandra Babu, Deve Gowda, Jayalalitha came to amass crores or tax them for enjoying the party funds derived comforts? Did the intellectuals or the court ever challenged the political decisions of DMK to provide free TVs to poor (as if it is the crucial life line of poor) just to fatten the family business of Karuna and Maran families in TV channels and films? Maya's decison to build statues at crores of public expenditure? If a single government officer would waste tonnes of food grains he may be put behind bars. But if the a whole lot of government staff act together in discoordinate dmanner to waste crores worth food grains in Punjab noone is taken to task? Did the central and state governments ever put in the public domain info periodically regarding convictions of corrupt politicians and govt staff as against the number alleged to have committed crime? No, only their tall claims of achivements are advertised periodically at cores of expenses. So blame it on social neglect and injustice.

Maoists
by Manas Sen on Apr 28, 2010 10:19 PM

Issue of tribals and Maoist insurgency are two separate issues. Development should reach tribal areas as early as possible but Maoists should be eliminated at all costs.

Please do not pay any heed to those politicians and pseudo intellectuals who see these two issues as the two sides of the same coin. Tribals are our people. Maoists are traitors.

Facts about Kesava Rao.
by blue leaf on Apr 28, 2010 10:15 PM  | Hide replies

1. His son murders a person by shooting the person point blank and this fellow covers it up.
2. He was forced to step down due to public opinion and YSR did not help him.
3. He is a telangana supporter and the entire drama of KCR's fasting etc was managed by this Kesava Rao along with his other friends like D.Hanumanth rao, Venkataswamy.
4. Naxals want telangana, Kesava Rao wants telangana. Its logical that kesava rao wants the government to stop the armed offensive against Naxals.
5. Congress party went to talks with Naxals after 2004 because before that Naxals attacked Chandrababu naidu and TDP was Naxals main target, they helped congress party to win the elections, they gave open support to congress party and they even killed TDP activists paving the way for an easy victory for YSR, that is why they talked to naxals as they had a deal. The moment Naxals brought up Land issue, talks failed and YSR was sure that as long as naxals are powerfull he can not grab land in the name of SEZ's etc, same time naxals too thought they can regroup and made mistakes in terms of new recruits.

So for kesava rao to give the society directions about how to deal with problems in the society that rose because of injustice etc is like devils teaching vedas.

this fellows character is that he will stoop to anylevel and even lick Madam's chappal for some personal gain.

There was no Eye Witness for the death that took place at the house of KK's son's house. Police investigation revealed that there were finger prints of only the deceased on the deceased's rifle.
In view of Mr. Blue Leaf (Blue Material?) a TELANGANA SUPPORTER is unworthy of recognition for all that he did for the Society. If Naxals want Telangana, only CORRUPT want SAMAIKYANDHRA. Corruption and CORRUPT must be removed from the Society like weeds and LEPERS.

The need of the hour is to divert the focus of the people rotting in the red corridors. For eg., providing freebies like TV's with cable connection will defintely help. This is how, in TN's Chanakya Mr.Karunanidhi won the hearts of the poor. Later the development has to be done in a phased manner.
The people rights group should also help the govt in solving the crisis. They should not be sitting in a safe place and watch two elephants fight in a Jungle.
These Naxals in their own interest should understand that taking arms and killing will not yeild any ve result. Constructive discussions (on face to face) with the govt only will help.
The Govt, should also make efforts to 1st understand & analyse their mindset and take necessary precautions in promoting FDI's in their areas.
