oh yeah, Kalyani forgot to mention one very very important thing. 1 mistake which Indian govt made when it supported Tharoor's candidature for UN secretary general post. Tharoor vehemently defended Kofi anan and his son in the oil for food scam. Eventually Kofi's son was indicted by the inquiry committe. So Tharoor has a history of being corrupt and supporting corrupt people and its not surprizing to find him caught in another corruption story.

Mr Tharoor is a bookish variety of politician , good at the presentations in the UNO type of atmosphere and also appears to be having the gift of the gab. That he is also corrupt is now besides the point, everybody associated with the IPL is. That he has met his doom is welcome news.These five star politicians are the bane of the New India, that somebody like Mr Kalam , the former President will definitely frown upon!

Sashi is the only one who has been open and forthright. That is the problem with Indian political class and journalists (if you can call yourselves that). India is supposedly a free republic, but we don't appreciate freedom of speech or thinking. The only punks we appreciate and can't protest are people like Lalu Yadav, Bal Thackeray and Narendra Modi.

Ha Ha Ha, just because u are open and forthright, it does not give u a right to be corrupt. One wrong does not justify another. He proved that he is just another Lallu, Thackeray, Mulayam, etc., but he wears a coat and tie. Thats all the difference

The biggest mistake of Mr.Sashi is his open stand on issues and not understanding old indian political bosses. Maya can keep on making statues worth crores and still be a minister. Narendra modi,Arun Jaitely and Lalu Yadav are all in BCCI as state presidents...for what??
We had several clever politician like pramod mahajan,scindia etc...all fall prey to party politics...only ppl like maya,lalu,karunannidhi,chandrababu,modi can survive..God save india??
Wear Khadi, Travel in Ambassador, Be extremely corrupt, Have all money in Swiss account, Have all property in other's name, Speak only good and make sure actions don't meet the words, Divide People and make them fight, Never make enemies in politics. Unfortunately Shashi Tharoor did not have any of the above qualities. He thought he can afford to spend his own hard earned money, can speak truth and perform honestly. Poor guy, should have learnt from leaders like Laloo and Narendra Modi.

Wear coat, tie, screw around with a paramour, bring your slush money thro' unidentified sources, tweet around without accepting collective cabinet responsibility, comment on your own finance ministry regulations, speak out of turn about country's foreign policy and then claim that you are clean, honest and efficient.
