Some doubt
by One Liner on Apr 03, 2010 01:36 AM

Why is Congress and Sonia sympathetic towards who killed Rajiv Gandhi?
Sonia pardoned Rajiv's killer. Priyanka's heart beats for Nalini.
Now someone who failed to protect Rajiv Gandhi (Which was his duty) is given an important post.

There are many such related actions which initially looked like anamolies but now appear as if there is a common thread running in all these!! Someone should look at this from conspiracy angle.

At the same time even minutest attrocities towards Christians is not tolerated and Madam takes very hard position instead of truly Christian afeeling of 'Pardon them because they know not'.

The Law is above the Religion??
by Debasish Sarkar on Apr 03, 2010 01:34 AM

MR. raghavan is playing "Justice Card" as superior to religion? But he is playing that in misdemeanour way. I mean he now becomes a priest of "parliament temple", currently occupied by Congress Government. An this congress Government {The Master} is dictating Mr.Raghavan, how to behave, and what Judiciary decision and deliberation should be delivered. So we can take correct inference from his (Mr. Raghavan) current activity and his judicial verdict Our overall assessment suggests that Mr. Raghavan is starting to believe that Mrs. Sonia led (Congress) Govt. is real God (Demigod?),and is really untouchable,
Recent Supreme Court's Judgement of Unconditional Acquittal of Laloo Prassad Jadav, from Fodder scam gaffe.
So it is now crystal clear to us that
Mr. Raghavan did this act under the instruction of Goddess of
Raisina Hill.

This guy is not capable of providing proper security to an Ex-PM when LTTE was strong shows that this guy just goes with the flow and does not show any kind of thinking or leadership quality.

This guy ran CBI!!!! No wonder it does not have any credibility anymore.

Concept of God in Hinduism
by solution on Apr 03, 2010 01:23 AM  | Hide replies

The most popular amongst all the Hindu scriptures is the Bhagavad Gita.
Consider the following verse from the Gita:

"Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures."
[Bhagavad Gita 7:20]

The Gita states that people who are materialistic worship demigods i.e. ‘gods’ besides the True God.

ZAHIL NAIK READS ONLY WHAT HE WANTS TO READ, WHAT SUITS HIS AGENDA, HE BELIEVES IN THAT, AND WHAT DOES NOT, FROM THE SAME VEDAS, IS FALSE TO HIM.
HE TRULY IS ZAHIL NAIK.

Re: Re: Concept of God in Hinduism

My point is simple..get back to the basic and common teachings of all religions..forget about the differences...the basic commonality is of one God which can be the best formula to unite all people in the world, which is what all the religious scriptures say...for example..."Ekam evadvitiyam"
"He is One only without a second."
[Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1]1

"Na casya kascij janita na cadhipah."
"Of Him there are neither parents nor lord."
[Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9]2

"Na tasya pratima asti"
"There is no likeness of Him."
[Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19]3

"Na samdrse tisthati rupam asya, na caksusa pasyati kas canainam."

"His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye."
[Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20]4

The scriptures of hinduism preach oneness of god and they condemn and prophibit idol or image worship.

Mr/s Solution, this will happen only if Upanishads are available to common men in their language. Nevertheless, your point is valid.

You also have heard:
Sarva Deva Namaskaraha Keshava Pada gatchathi.

Prayers to Any God finally goes towards Keshav (Here Keshav is symbolic. You can replace it with name of your choice because all are names of same God)

When some King ridiculed idol worship, Swami Vivekananda did this: He smiled and talked to the King for a while. During the talk, King talked proudly about his father who was dead. Swamiji asked him he had a picture of the King (Current Kings father). When the picture was shown, Swamiji spit on it. King frowned and said how dare you do this to my Dad?

Swamiji said if this picture reminds of your Dad, for millions the idols bring memories of Supreme God - that is all!! and they love the God the same way you love your father

From which scripture you are quoting this verse?..from shruti or smriti...know the difference between the two...if any contradiction between the two..which will take precedence over the other?...

That is where the difference comes...In previous message of mine that is what I told..ignore the differences..come to the common platform provided by all the religious scriptures, i.e., oneness of god without any image or idol...then most, if not all, of the problems will be solved...

"Na tasya Pratima asti"
"There is no image of Him." [Yajurveda 32:3]

The same Swami Vivekananda also said that the term "Hindu" is a misnormer.. Hindu is not a religious, but geographical term...the actual word with which the people following vedas should be called is Vedantist..why don't u stick to this also and call urself a vedantist instead of hindu...Do not be prejudiced and select the thing which is in favor of u and discard a thing which actually what The Creator wants you to do

One Liner, I see that since Upanishads are so NOT user friendly, various gurus (mullas!) tried to simplify things. Your quote here is a good example of that.

Bible Exposed

Ironically, one of the Bible's 10 pillars or ten Commandments says: "Thou shalt not kill. (Exodus 20:13)." Yet, innocent children and non-virgin women were ordered to be killed by the mass, perhaps in thousands! 3-year old slave girls were also ordered to be raped by Moses.
