What to do next?
by Deepak MA on Sep 08, 2009 08:16 PM  | Hide replies

SC instead of just rapping Mayawati, needs to take some stern action. There is no point in breaking these concrete sturctures, as that exercise will pile up the overall money burnt.

The solution is to debar Mayawati from politics forever. There is merit in the case that somebody who is an elected rep, has squandered public money. Ensure that she cannot return back to politics. This will also serve as a lesson for others to follow.

Your solution seems the best possible in the present circumstances.

Yes she should be barred from politics for ever. That will be the best way to warn the future and present politicians of being committed to public money for real welfare cause of the masses

the politicians do not have an absolute understanding of the people's dictates. they get elected for a set of promises.

You should go to see the infrastructure in UP to comment this way. If someone is interesting in welfare of workmen, masons etc. then there are many roads to construct, many bridges to make, many common amenities like drinking water to make. Besides what all is being made is just around Lucknow. What about the workmen and employment needers far off from Lucknow..

I pity your thought and wish that you realise the misdeeds of the politicians rising above petty ranks

Yes, if it is only for the purpose of saving the dying art of sculptures, workmen etc then she SHOULD encourage such art by also orderning the statues of Gandhi, Nehru,Bajpayee,Amitabh, Mukesh Ambani, Amar singh, Mulayam,Sonia, Mamta, etc etc

Even Madam Mayavati is not dead.. She is building her own statue..
Also for your reference Saddam Hussain was not dead.. He too built his own satues, which were pulled down after executing him..
I do not want to speculate on the fate of Madam Mayavati!!

I agree..
But the issue is whether they can be called 'memorials' ! Surely a Judge of the highest court in the land should know this !

Rs 300 is far less than Rs 2,500. Moreover, Shivaji project should be given importance because of his great work for our country. But what Maya.wati, Kashi.Ram and other dali.t leaders done for country?
