The power to tax is what makes the government powerfull.
By giving more of our hard earned money to these "good for nothing" politicians, we are exposing ourselves to such theft.
Yes this is theft of my hard earned money.
As I have repeated again and again..does not matter who runs the government...what is more important is the scope of government. That is the discussion we ought to have.
We expect governments to take care of us from cradle to grave..thats because we are lazy and have just given us.
Incidents and leaders like these are a reflection of our own shortcomings.

Taxation is necessary. But Government should use brain before spending the taxpayer's money.

Taxation is needed only to meet certain national interest such as , - Law enforcement - National Security - Infrastructure development.
We see tax money being used for, - Building Statutes - Religious Subsidies - Subsidizing petrol, rice, wheat, etc - Running failed companies like Air India etc.
We need to limit the scope of government. The only way to do that is to limit taxation and give more power to the people so that they can make their own decisions.
Looks like we have substituted the british with corrupt politicians as far as our decision making process is concerned.
True freedom lies in giving the individual to make his/her own decisions.

True freedom lies inn every person being able to afford two square meals a day and a decent dwelling place.
Long ago when this lady had been asked to explain how did she amass this wealth. That time she gave an explanation that she received a lot of Rs 50/- money orders from her followers.
It would be interesting to see if the postal department can produce the record of the Rs 50/- money orders she got.
Otherwise even this I feel she will find ways to put things under the carpet.
But if people rise up and ensure that she is forced to repay this from her personal fortune she will have to. I have full feeling that today she has amassed enough to be able to pay this back

The memorial is perhaps intended to show that it does not matter whether or not he is alive.
Guys we just do not need the supreme court to intervene in any and all cases.
This matter can be addressed at the state level and central level.
State Assembly needs to pass a bill that prohibits use of tax payer money for such projects. This will make it "ILLEGAL" and hence subject to criminal investigation.
Same needt o be done at the National level.
Stop wasting tax money.
We are not busting our @sses for these stupid people !!!
Thank God the Supreme Court is intervening. What I fail to understand is that in the first place how does someone gets such liberty to lavish the taxpayer's money? When there are thousands of homeless and destitute children, how can thousands of crores be spent on statutes? This is inhumane.
