do them a favour
by Devdutt Nayak on Nov 11, 2009 01:08 PM  | Hide replies

keep them away from this awards shit.

Indira Gandhi used to say about what Motilal Nehru told her -

there are two groups of people - those who want to take the credit and those who actually do the work. Try to go into the latter group, because there is lot of competition in the former group, and none for the latter group.

Indira kept away from this advice.
In her days, achievements were tom-tommed as hers, failures partymen's.

Where is MNS? Why is Raj not doing anything for these Marathi manoos?
Perhaps because they won't bring in any media lime-light with them.

Many corporate houses and industrial houses will give the rewards to cricketers for their win or
Achievements, why they forget to reward these real heros…….
Why should they expect rewards from this corrupt government whose masters are busy filling their own pockets.
Feel sad aboubt these real heros..

Now that R R Patil is back I'm sure
NCP will take note of this and reward
all four Marathi Police manoos otherwise
Raj will pull the rug from under the government's two left feet.

Action taken by Mr. Ganesh Nadar
by Chinna on Nov 11, 2009 11:19 AM  | Hide replies

It would have been more prudent if you mentioned in your article some actions taken by Mr. Ganesh in tackling the terrorists. If they are putting fire at such a close range, what these people were doing as preventive action. Just by mere going in and getting burnt while escaping, is not heroism. You must explain his hiroics also to get praise and rewards.

The unsung heroes of 26/11

The bravery of the under equipped Mumbai police also helped in reducing the impact of terrorist action. It is high time that the Mumbai police is equipped with machine pistols (Heckler & Koch, Beretta and Browning) to fight the terrorists at close quarters like in hotel corridors, rooms, stairs etc. Proper encouragement and motivation should be given to the over worked policemen so that they are able to give their best. Regular training and orientation in the latest tactics to fight terrorism should be given. They shoud be provided with the best quality Israeli make Kevlar jackets, wireless equipment, Sat phones and armoured vehicles for their speedy and safe movement so that the horrible instance of three policemen falling to terrorist bullets is avoided in future. Constant state of preparedness and high degree of alertness will go a long way in combating terrorism.
