There is nothing called as Hindu culture or Indian culture. Communities and castes within Hinduism have their own identities and culture. There is nothing in common.

What is the common culture ? Do you know the practices of a South Indian and North Indian, it completely differs even with respect to Mangalsutra.

Both north and south Indians observe four basic tenets (given above) of Indian culture. hence they both belong to same umbrella culture.

Common man, do not kid. You are talking about going to Cinema, eating spicy food and say it is not entertainment. You are just thinking that everybody else is a fool like you.

There may be different practices according to regions. But the concept and spirit of them all is same.

Why not? There are thousands of examples today of North Indian and South Indian alliances. It is the choice of individuals. You can't force it in the name of homogenizing.

WB is heading for the worse now. TMC and maos. nice combi. unfortunately it happened when we had a decent CM (of a not so decent party i agree) who was trying for some industry. and we also have some "intellectuals" who adds to our worry.
You said Hinduism is Indian culture ? Is there anything called as Indian culture as such ?? By this, you are certainly not appreciating the diversity of this Country. Every State has different religions, caste, communities and different cultures. There is nothing homogenous.

Mental satisfaction leads them to blind support to a political party. He is victim of vote bank politics and is being paid my his master to do so.

i fail to understand what the fuss is all about. is it some so called minority demanding his rights? i wonder when hindus can ask for some of his rights. like the right of peace which is broken 5 times a day by loudspeakers trying to bring that bearded chap from the mid east down to earth.

Yeah, I accept it is an intrusion to privacy. But what about Hindu God rituals in the streets with loud instruments and bands ??

That is not created by anybody. That is a fact. It was Buddhism which was a dominant religion before the Aryans arrived.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: To Kunal Pepsi
by Rationalist on Nov 10, 2009 06:45 PM
Buddha himself opposed the vedic culture. And there is no record of Aryans invaision in the history. It was a theory of Europeans.
Re: Re: Re: To Kunal Pepsi
by Traps on Nov 10, 2009 06:36 PM
Did Hinduism exist during Aryan times. It was just a common theme across diverse beliefs across a land mass (the idea of India did not exists either).

u are absolutely correct to the word. mamta is teaching the left their own language of bandh shutdowns and violence just when we though that the state may see some industry and jobs. WB should have a better option than the destructive TMC and CPM.
Re: Re: Re: Good luck
by Getafix on Nov 10, 2009 06:26 PM
absolutely. its not an alternative at all. its the same with more violent ways. its the people of bengal who suffer.

TMC is doing great job in all the Loksabha seats they have won and all the municipalities they have won. They must be given the credit for it. And, regarding industry, TMC is not anti-industry but it only opposed establishing industry in highly fertile land. Singur was the "Bowl of Potato" in Bengal and yielded four crops a year(3 besides potato). Now CPM has destroyed its fertility in name of industry, price of potato has increased from Rs.6 to Rs.30. So, please try to know the whole scenario before commenting.
BJP is already a dead party. Forget about them. Rahul Baba's congress kicked out of UP by Mayawati. Rajbabar winning Firozabad is not a congress victory, as Rajbabar was appealing to voters in the name of his religion. CPM is kicked out of WB by TMC not by Congress. If congress constested without TMC they would have not been able to win a single seat at WB. In kerala there is no alterative other than Congress. Every five year people their want a change.

In the next Tamil Nadu State Election Karunanidhi will be out and Jaya is going to win. Then these three will be a big force and key to govt. formation will be in their hands. Maya, Mamta and Jaya should join together and through out corrupt Congress & CPM and BJP.
