Treated badly!!!!
by Umesh DK on Nov 23, 2009 05:06 PM

Time and again we keep on hearing this lines that "Muslims are treated badly"... in waht way????

If they are poor and uneducated, who has to be blamed??? Are all Indians / Hindus are super rich and higly educated. There are hindus who are also very poor and uneduacted.

And why is that Muslims keep on balming the governement for all thier plights?? why they don't introspect within the community???

Why they expect everything from government.... what is the community's responsibility. Why are they not giving importance to rational thinking, education, family planning.

Time and againw e keep on hearing how poor people have achieved success.... We rarely see same inspiring stories from Muslims.

women's emancipation
by Jokerjohn on Nov 21, 2009 11:41 PM  | Hide replies

The frustration of Muslim women lies in their spiritual bankruptcy. Spiritually bankrupt people are bound to be frutrated. The western women though spiritually bankrupt too are at least sexually liberated. Thus they keep themselves and men happy! Perhaps the muslim women could learn from their western counterparts.

muslims r not marginalised
by nilanjana rocks on Nov 18, 2009 05:18 PM  | Hide replies

i don't think muslims r marginalised. Most of them r rich and influential.About gujrat and bombay riots-i'm totally opposed to these; but one should care to mention the bomabay blasts and godhra killings that lead to these riots, and not to mention the countless terror atacks on India. But still v hindus treat them right, don't v?Inspite of their treachery and vile language and scores of arrogant actions...

Sad interpretation of the muslim woman's plight
by Aditya Venkat on Nov 16, 2009 06:54 PM  | Hide replies

I commend the efforts of the BMMA, but it is sad they they still like to believe that the Quran gives them equal status as that of men. If that were so, women in other islamic countries would not be treated as they are being treated today. Also, does she have an explanation to why in the court of law, the testimony of a women is considered half that of a man, if they are to be treated equal. Until they realize that there is an inherent flaw in their own way of life, they will not be able to make any progress. Also, by claiming that they are being discriminated they have moved the focus from the way the muslim community in India have themselves to blame for their backwardness. Sachar committe recommendations will only create the grounds of a civil war in the future between the muslims and the hindus. Let BMMA as an organisation educate their community on the benefits of running a single child family. Having just one child will itself go a long way in ensuring that they improve their quality of life. If they want society to work for them, they need to show that they have the intention to change for the better. One small step from their end will ensure that society takes two large steps to help them.

India and Hinduism
by Gilliana Freitas on Nov 16, 2009 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

I had already written a couple of times and in my conclusion, permit me to say that if it were possible to meet the aspirations of all you young Hindu gentlemen that India be only Hindu, we must go back into India's history when the country was only Hindu and always keeping in mind that Hinduism is only confined in India. What would happen then ? Hinduism will not exist to its past propotions as history tells us that the country will be invaded once again by marauders and there will be etc etc and once you will witness the same. Perhaps India with its present psychdelic of many people and religions is its strength and every Indian must be bound by his conscience to live in coexistence and eternal brotherhood, God bless India the Mother of civilisation and beacon of all hope.

Vedic India
Re: India and Hinduism
by Vedic India on Nov 17, 2009 10:26 AM
For information present prssent India is just half of the original India. India will remain diverse. Let us not get into trap of any religion. When we say Hinduism it is not Religion. Any body who believes universal values can become Hindu. If some of us have problem with word Hindu, we can call it as some thing else. Even in India, we had several traditions which were not applicable in the current context. The bottom line is are we ready to think rational or not? India had great civilization which was universal. Unfortunately, it was ruined.
