It is a paradox that the States like Orissa,36Garh,Jharkhand which are richest in Mineral Resources are indeed the poorest States of the Country. People in these States are living with abject poverty. Their land and forest are being leased out to TATAs,Jindals,Mittals,Vista,Vedanta,POSCO, etc for mining operations, for a song, to make them Billionaires while the tribals, the real Owners of Land and Forest are forced to starvation. The tribals are subject to land degradation,ecological damages, pollution of Land,water and air,damages to natural streams, etc etc. Such unjust and inhumane attitude of the Government has helped the Maoists to thrive and create problems for the States and the People. It is time for Govt to review the Mining Policy so as to help the poor Tribals and the locals , and NOT to MNCs and the Billionaires. In this regard, export of Minerals (Iron Ore and Bauxite) shd be banned. Our raw materials must be utilised for production of finished goods in our Country. Mining operations shd be limited to meet our basic needs with comprehensive respect to Ecology, Land Use, Natural Streams,etc. These States are the poorest because they are deprived of suitable compensation for mining of Minerals and Coal. The present rate of Royalty is a pittance. It must be enhanced to minm 20% of International Market Price, ad valorem, to enable the States to use the revenue for infra,health care,water supply,education,etc and to uplift quality of life of the People.
Why the government is pushing truck-full of troops through the heavily mined roads of naxal areas again and again? Yesterday we lost six more troops. This is height of insensitivity towards our troops.
Unlike in J&K and Assam these "dissidents" i.e. the Maoists are not fighting to secede from the Union of India. So what is stopping the Government from engaging them in talks? It seems that the so called "culture" of corruption is so ingrained in Government that any talk of improvement or public welfare is anathema to the State as well as Central Governments.
Will killing any of them help the country of the tribal's cause? No, it won't. Instead, all tribal MPs, MLAs and bureaucrats should form a committee and fight it out through democratic means. Tribals are treated like sh!t because they do not have the brains to form an alliance and counter the brahmin-run administration in a democratic way. Take your cause to the International forum. All tribal MPs, MLAs and Bureaucrats should resign. But if innocent tribals are killed and tortured, they will probably go for high value emotional support systems of main targets instead of the targets themselves.
Arundathi Roy should be shoot at sight!, Until she got the booker price she was not in any activist, she was paid to work against India's progress, similar to the other anti Indian activist medha. This traitors never botherd or worried about the family of the slain cops who serve for the country and protect civilions. they are always in support of the terrorists. Kill them on the spot and save our country.

Everybody including centre should ignore her, and punish her sometimes. She is biggest hypocrite India has generated. Her love for tribals are nothing but crocodile tears.
i support d govt. decision of goin head on 2 finish d worst enemies of development of d nation.ppl frm rural areas migrate in bigger developed cities n r a big headache 4 ppl who hav bin born n brought up in urban areas.v easily come 2 conclusions dat d govt. is not doin enough. so ad govt. do their job of flushing them out.
