Indians are very patriotic by singing songs for our jawans whoo sacrifies their life for our country..India is the only country with cashualities daily..Americans don even tolerate the loss of one soldier..we just tally the numbers..More funds are allocated to armed forces ..and the welfare of the families..but not even 10% reaching them..who is their to question whatz going on inside army,navy,airforce...sophisticated looting..and others are keeping mum fearing defense security policy..A pure man like Antony cannot understand what is going on..it needs some curved thinking..he will b made blind in a smarter way and antony will believe that evrything goes fine..what has hapnd to 6th pay commission? nobody knows ...are the exservicemen getting pension on time? nobody knows..coz noone is ther to check..

The best solution for corruption in Defence is to transfer all North Indian babus especially from Bihar MP and UP to other civil departments and throw out Col Maj Captains of Northern origins.
Rather than writing so much and wasting time, the quick Agenda for India's Defence should be --
1). Increase urgently the Military strength, Monpower in Army, Navy, Airfoce --- which is very less in proportion to our population and in comparision to Military strength(manpower) of China and even Pakistan.
2). Increase Defence Budget for purchasing highly technical/ sophisticated equipments. China's Budget stand 2nd in woirld, while India stands 10th/11th.
3) Make all the defence personnel more motivated, skillful and war-winning oriented through continous exercise and vigorous training.

easier said than done. Our politicians have prevented this from last 60 years. With this corrupt govt. at the center we have to witness our army men being sacrificed in the event of war.

How do you ensure them more motivated?.By cheating through Pay commission?By robbing them the pride once istilled by their leaders?.By sacrificing them in the wars and taking illconcieved political objectives and Military objectives.Is it by deliberately degrading of the military men both position wise and pay wise?.Perhaps the pay commission saga can be termed as biggest demotivating and and demoralising factor.Even big war can not make such damages.It made the armed forces to come openly to the negotiating table,and literally made them ask for their due,which otherwise should have been given to them automatically.If we can not ensure a jawan that his family will be lookedafter in case some thing happens to him in war,why should he sacrifice his life and how to motivate him?.Moral and motivation done over long period.It is not achieved overnight.And our polity and civilian babu keep killing it.People keep saying that war is not the answere.But war is the only means by which Pakistan can be tamed.Motivate the soldier,make his moral up in the light of above.He will deliver the goods.Each officer,whether retired or still working is denied/robbed of lakhs of rupees by government in 4th.pay commission while fixing the pay.One can imagine the present state of moral and motivation of the Army.
indian defence fiefdom is rampant with corruption. every deal has its share of cut backs going from individuals to party coffers. even army supplies at the battalion level cannot go without cutbacks.forget the murky deals like purchasing golf carts or the one involving present chief kapoor sahab while as c-in-c western command(which his releiver gen panag tried to enearth and got the transfer insteasd from anthony-kapoor duo.) One defence personnel was heard telling as to think why there appears a blast every year in either of the three/four ordnance depots (I appologise if there is a mistake in numbers) routinely that accounts for loss of hundreds of crores .(in fact thses blasts are said to serve top brass of army to ADJUST crores of ruppees which is routinely shared amongst gens . & politicians) I wish it were wrong but then such is the plight of our defene fiefdom. Mr Anthony is but a helpless creature in this murky criminal & ruthless world of Indian defence establishment.May God BLESS him.

All said and done,inspite of,what has been said above,if any one is caught,he will be punished.An internal mechanism will ensure descidlinary action is taken.As far as blasts in ammunition depot is concerned,the commanding officer found guilty he will either be courtmarshalled,or even if he is not guilty,his fate will be sealed and he will get no more promotions.Fire and financial irregularities should not happen in Army units.why such blasts not takin place in air force and Navy?.They also have ammunition depots.
I fully agree with you. Why don’t we give Defense Portfolio for once give to a really qualified and capable person who knows in and out of Defense and the security of India. A person like Gen. VP Malik and not like a person like Scamster and broker like Kapoor who had given his grandson a merc to go to bar and kill innocent people. Antony may have a clean image but that is not enough. See how he failed in the Israel arms contract though Congress need the money for election. Kick all old good for nothing politicians like greedy Murali Deora (what way he is qualified the important portfolio like Petroleum Ministry because Mukesh Ambani paid crores to Congress Kitty, Pranab Mukherjee (another old fox and agent of many businessmen) and countless others. Whoever be the Railway Minister, he/she is only interested in their own state and others have to sulk. The general public should be blamed for all these coward acts of politicians because we never look beyond the good for nothing politicians

A person who cannot even rule a state i doubht how he can manage a country.He is made a defense minister only becuase sonia likes christians.There is a big list where her selection is based on that criteria.And efficent people like karunakaran is send as a governor.

Yes although I am a great admirer oftha man,this aspect of his life is confusing for many.If you are irreligious, be at it in all your dealings.He feels nausea at the sight of a Priest/ Bishop,but his eyes sparkles, and heart beats at the sight of a Hundu religious Guru.It does't tally.

India will be left with 11 Submarines with 2 of them being FoxTrot Submarines of 1965 era.
God knows when the 6 French scorpene submarines will be completed. When are we going to get the Nuclear Powered Akula and when will the ATV become operational.
