it's very unfortunate that the govt., not gave it's right resepect to this legend.
Nagesh is a legend and made us laugh even with just expressions in his face. very sad.
govt., announced padmasri to vivek. i don't know what politics is there in the awards announcement.
But, no Padma sri, bhushan, vibushan awards given to this legend.
The govt., should give Bharat Ratna award to this legend. if they are not interested, don't give any other award, instead create a award in the name of Nagesh and give it to upcoming actors. that's the real tribute to this legend.

The sad demise of Mr. Nagesh - the greatest & all time comedian of Tamil Cinema has brought an end to comedy. I can only pray for his SOUL to rest in PEACE
Your brief about Nagesh is factually incorrect in several ways. First of all, he was a railway employee in Bombay before getting transferred to Chennai and making his efforts in Tamil Films. While I do not know the first film he acted in, it certainly was not Server Sundaram because I had seen his Nejil or Alayam way back in 1961 or 62. In Nagesh the industry lost a great actor.
