I have been watching movies for a long time.. From low level technology to hight level technolgy.. But you are the one who made a mark on each Tamilian's mind as a comdian. When we think of comedy always you are there.. This thouhgt will be carried on for centuries from now.. When u started your carrier, there was no computer.. Only the minds of people were there... Now tech had made an opportunity for me to record your position... You will be always remebered in the Tamil film world.. Not just fim world.. It is on all the hearts of Tamilians.. Don't want to restrict the feelings within the Tamil world.. You started your life from karnataka and marked your humour thru out all hearts who like comedy... And now the time has come for u to leave just the body not the soul... And u will be remembered by all the future generations who will be learning about u on paper and computers.. Be proud that u made a great mark, which nobody will find an eraser.. You are the greatest one, whose fame is not being recognised by the novice world.. You are always within the hearts of the one who know you and the ones who are going to know you..

I don't think that anybody needs to give any award to Nagesh.. Nobody is deserved to give him an award. Nagesh is over qualified to get any award.. As a matter of fact we should design better awards in His name.. That is the only tribute to this greatest comedian we ever can give. Also I do think that nobody is qualified to judge him for any award.
Typical of Indian government, it seems that tge national awards and national recognitions (incl. 'Padma' awards which were recently awarded to many cine artistes) were not conferred on this versatile performer.
You know something, Nagesh never needed glycerine in crying scenes. He can produce copious tears at his will. His performance as a corpse in the movie Magalir mattum I think is par excellence. May his soul rest in peace.
