Too old to lead.
by Guest on Jan 21, 2009 10:47 PM  | Hide replies

The same thing will happen with Advani and with Modi 25 years later when he becomes PM. This system is faulty and the country is paying for it. First it was Vajpayee with knee problems and now it is MMS. How can they make tough decisions? America was going that route but was lucky to escape. The system made it possible and the citizens willfully selected a vibrant, young leader in Obama.

A PM is not supposed to run a 100m race. In India his main purpose is to keep his folks together and let the Cabinet work for their respective depts. If you are sick you would want to see a 70 year old doctor, not a 30 year old newbee, running a country is not a child's play. Vajpayee with Knee problem ran the country than any PM did. all these highways/ Airport upgradation new IITS etc, Railways/Metro that you see today were concieved during his regime...

Airport upgradation has been started by UPA. Dont misled people. Metro rail is Delhi govt. project. From where ABA has come into picture? ABA in later stages became so forget ful that he used to forget the topic in the long pauses between his dialogues. Everyone in the PMO knew that Brajesh Mishra is runing the govt. How many days ABA attended office? MMS works even on Sundays. There are official log book entries to prove what I am saying. sentences

Excellent question, given the topic. No wonder you did not get an answer. Have you ever paused to think that maybe you don't deserve ananswer given the irrelevance of the question to the discussion.

Obviosly a forum cannot run of Manmohan Singh's health, because to tell you the truth 99.99% Indians don't care for what he does and where he is, so discussion has to be out of topic..

Ur 99.99% Indians made him the PM of the country. Or do u think that all those who voted UPA to power are not Indians? or may be India wanted Sonia Gandhi to be PM?
Whatever lies u may say - it is a historical fact now that Congress led by Sonia Gandhi defeated BJP led by Atal Vajpayee. And the history will repeat itself now that BJP is much weaker with no Atal there and its stalwart Kalyan Singh resigning. Time will prove that even Rajnath Singh will not be able to win from Ghaziabad.

That's a nice answer, never thought about it. Captain Unnikrishnan & 15 other soldiers were fools, they laid their lives saving 200-300 Indians in Taj, they should have just blown up the building killing everybody including Terrorists... how would it matter if out of 1.2 billion people another 200-300 had died..

many questions can be asked like this.

those who say that babri masjid was demolished to set right a historical wrong, why they do not talk of setting jallianwalla bagh right?

those who promised to build ram temple and fought elections over it, why they did not build it when they were in power for six years?

those who are shouting against terrorism from rooftops today, what action did they take when parliament was attacked when they were in power?

Also regarding your question on Ram Temple, It wasn't the BJP govt. It was NDA govt. and NDA had it's own Menifesto, and Ram Temple wasn't a part of it...

Okay, so you still don't have an answer to my question on Kandhar. Now for your questions, The Attacks during NDA regime were not happening like they are happening now, they brought the Law POTA, also in response to parliament attack, operation Parakram was done, it was the biggest military excercise in the history of India(not war). If you have anybody in army, ask him what were the benefits of operation Parakram, I hope you won't ask this question then. I'm telling you againg you are a naive person, your knowledge is hollow and words don't have substance

Almeida,
Do some reading, even congress media find it difficult to negate all the work done between 2000-2005. Have you seen Lalu's Ad. They'll show you growth figure of 1999, than 2006, 2007, 2008. He gulps 2002, 3003, 2004. because that's where things started transforming, don't waste your life on lies..

I will give u a reply. By asking this question, u r contradicting ur own false propaganda against UPA for being secular. You have negated the very thoery of a Strong State. This argument that Masood Azhar was released to save 200 passengers proves that NDA was no better (or worse) than UPA in tackling terror. It bowed down as easily to terrorists as did Janta Dal govt. in 1990 (Rubaina Sayeed. Do u know the policy of Israel - no exchange of hostage under any circumstances. The NDA govt. proved what the world always knew - jo garajte hain, wo baraste nahin

Do u have any knowledge about army operations? Obviously No. Operation Prakaram was the biggest drain on exchequer ever with no results. Entire army was mobilised taking months but not even a single rubber bullet was fired. It was done to build a war hysteria in the country so that people dont ask the govt. what is ur response to the Parliament attack? ulimately everything fizzled out.
Now people like u r asking what govt. is doing over Mumbai. Why it is not attacking pak? Why didnt ur NDA attack pak? The answer is simple - India has only a slight edge over pakistan in army strength bcoz India has to defend borders against China, Burma, Bangladesh, Nepal AND Pakistan. Whereas pakistan has only India to attack. And wars are not won on the basis of a slight edge. Besides in a war Pakistan has nothing to lose - their country has already collapsed and is being run on US and Chinese support whereas damage for India will b great

sure i do hv an answer for ur kandahar question. that is - when handling such a big country and such an important matter, there r several things u need to consider. saving lives of citizens is important. but what also needs to be considered is the future repurcussions any action might cause. the situation is not the same as taj attack bcoz in taj foreign citizens were holed up. so u need to consider the impact of relations with those countries if u decide to blow up the bldg. so in kandahar case, the best soln would hv been to carry out an israel-type commando operation to rescue the trapped passengers. it would hv risked the passengers lives but sent out a strong msg.

Manmohan has a few good things.

1. He never beats his trumpet.

2. He never says harsh words to even the opponents.

3. Whyatever he does he does silently.

4. He is humle yet smart.

5. He is an introvert but still speaks his mind.

God bless him.
