Vijender
Our Next Prime Minister
by Vijender on Jan 21, 2009 11:38 PM

Just wondering how would our country deal with security and internal matters when LK Advani becomes the prime minister of India. He would be in hospital for treatment atleast 60% of time and that's not surprising for his age and health conditions. Since we do not have a good 3rd front and as Congress cannot fight the incumbency factor, BJP is almost certain to form the next government. So we would have a sleeping prime minister who would go into coma on hearing any news of crisis.

Is it a mere coincidence that he had heart problem on the day Bush departed and is a broken heart indicated by the medical tests?

Guys, whatevr happens in America, we give great interest, praise them, and we all of us have much praise over them everytime. it is because, how America is united everytime to build a strong nation and this time they elected a young leader not even a 50 years.

Let's do it in India, leave all what the political parties say, let us not to look at the party but the person. let us also elect a young and dynamic leader. I strongly hope Rahul Gandhi is the suitable man insted of going for 86 year ol d Advani. let's vote for Rahul Gandhi.

joke of the century..highways/ Airport upgradation new IITS etc, Railways/Metro that you see today were concieved during vajpayee's regime. Ask ur grand father, he will tell you the story of national highways in india. What airport was upgraded due to Vajpayee's rule. And railways was making record losses during NDA's worst government.

@ Vijender - Good reply. At least now i am finding some people to oppose these expat NRI BJP supporters. All airports, all power stations, steel plants, dams, big factories - almost everything was conceived & built by Nehru. He called them the temples of modern India. The successive govts have only added on to Nehruvian legacy.
Only other visionary PM was Rajiv - He brought in computers and laid the foundation of basic and mobile telephony. Remember that before Rajiv's rule - people had to wait for 10 years for a telephone.

And the funny part is it is expected out of you to ignore the contribution of Atal's regime, but you also ignored the contribution of P.V. Narsimha Rao...All you can see is Gandhi hype..

In 1999 I had to wait for 3 moths for phone. Rajiv was gone in 89. The whole world saw the telecom revolution in late 90's. You keep dreaming about Nehru/Gandhi. I think it is unfortunate for our country as people are not electing on one's capabilities, but by birth. There was no reason to make Rajiv the PM of a democratic country, there is no reason for you to support Rahul Gandhi for PM as there are more capable and better people even in Congress, but either you don't understand the meaning of democracy or you are happy being ruled by a dynasty..

Have I posted any msg supporting rahul as PM? i dont think so.
The problem with u expat BJP supporters is that u people cannot digest anything in favour of Congress. U forget a basic thing - it is bcoz of the democracy propagated by congress that u can heap abuse on ur Pm and still get away with. God forbid the day when the faascists may rule this country and then u see how they curtail the freedom of speech. An example of ur party's Bhartiya Sanskriti will be seen on 14 Feb. when they will break flower shops and destroy card shops in the name of protecting hi_n_dutva.

Telecom lines cannot be laid overnight. It takes years. 3 months waiting in 1999 is a lie. or may be u wud not be in a city.
Still 3 months is far better than 10 years. And u people reaped the seeds of telecom revol. which were sowed by Rajiv and SAm Piroda. What ur party has to show - Pramod mahajan and his riches????

Prime Minister's Heart Scare
by Reuben Gabriel on Jan 21, 2009 11:07 PM

Dr. Manmohan Singh has been an immensely useful public servant of India, and if only age and health were on his side he would continue to do further goodfor the nation. Nevertheless, I find it difficult to understand why Indian political parties cannot chose relatively younger persons to fill as important an office as that of the Prime Minister. Wouldn't youth, energy and a younger mind make a crucial difference? Why shouldn't someone like Chidambaram be Prime Minister?
