The cops in USA are extremely racist, most have just 12th grade education, do not use common sense, and display hubris. To use the term "sand nigger' is bad- Mr. Ravi Shankar has every right to take this to the state authorities and sue the police for racial remarks. If he contacts the local Indian organizations, they will be more than happy to help out.

The thing I fault the professor for- not paying the traffic ticket. Absolutely no excuse for it, that is not a sign of an educated man. This is something I detest in Indians, trying to weasel out of paying money!

He needs to contact a good attorney and file a lawsuit against the police department, the local county of jurisdiction that hired that policeman for wrongful arrest, unlawful detention and harassment. He will certainly win millions of dollars as compensation.

what you say is not untrue. however, arrest warrant is always served to the offender's residence if I am not mistaken. How could he not know about his outstanding arrest warrant? Also, it makes no sense that the cops stopped him for no apparent violation on the road. It is not as if cops are looking at all license plates to figure if there are an arrest warrant tied to them. so, what was he stopped for? erratic driving, may be? moral of the story: always have a radar detector; it pays for itself many times over.

Fully agree!!! Bad Karma leads to payback. I wonder what would have happened if he had nothing outstanding against him.
