Yash Bhatnagar
Ill informed article
by Yash Bhatnagar on Jun 01, 2008 02:37 PM  | Hide replies

This is a totally ill informed article by an obviously biased author. I am no fan of the Gandhi clan - but we all know that there are alway two sides to the story. If one politician undermines another - so what. Is the author saying that if the Gandhi clan was more respectful to local leaders - they would have won? Governments should be elected on the basis of merit - neither emotion or personal gain. This author should credit the people with a bit more intelligence. His tailpiece is an obvious giveaway. Please write more balanced and sensible articles which are relevant and based on facts not some half baked, ill-informed rumors.

IT's NOT THE ARROGANCE, BUT SUBSERVIENCE OF INDIAN MENTALITY!
by Kabeer on Jun 01, 2008 02:35 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr.Shenoy!

First get your facts right, before blaming the Nehru-Gandhi family!

1. Rajiv Gandhi before his eventful visit to Hyderabad, has clearly told the AP Chief Minister T.Anjaiah, that he (Rajiv) is much a commoner and is on his private visit and clearly asked him that no one need to come to the airport to 'receive' him. Yet, the Chief Minister, T Anjaiah, as he calls himself "5 Anna Coolie" goes to the airport with all the Pomp and treats Rajiv like a prince. Rajiv never wanted to be treated like an extra-ordinary man. So he lost his cool and told Anjaih in the language that he understands better.

WHY DO YOU IGNORE RAJIV WANTING TO BE TREATED LIKE ANY COMMONER?

WHY DO YOU IGNORE RAJIV's HUMILITY?

By the way, Telugu Self-respect (Atmagowravam) is much bigger than T Anjaiah. Anjaiah is just a representative of 6 cr Telugus; not their Leader! for that matter anyone. They are representatives not leaders.

2. Ram Manohar Lohia shrieked in Parliament once 'These Nehrus ancestors in fact are CHAPRASIS in Kashmir. Not as they are portrayed blue blooded nobility'

To which the learned Jawaharlal rose up and said 'That is what exactly I have been saying all these years; that I am a public servant, and all my family is!'

Now tell me Mr.Shenoy! Who is at fault?

Jawaharlal Nehru? Rajiv Gandhi?
Havent they pleaded to be treated like ordinary men?

It is the subservience of Indian mentality that is at fault not Nehru-Gandhi family.

Bourbons not!

really kabeer...
I always felt that though we might not have got the best PMs in the world ( even that is questionable), we certainly had PMs,nehru, indira, rajiv,PVN,Vajpayee, acceptable to the whole india and their contribution to our
nation building was enormous. failures were there in many areas, but still I feel a Patel,Bose or JP would have done much badly because of they would not have got nation wide acceptabiltiy.

TVR shenoy is a known sonia gandhi baiter...but this article is the most foolish writtenly i have seen...political hatred should not transcend to these kind of cheap remarks...

the bjp in karnataka has sold itself to the telugus and the northies...

our CM yeddy fell at the feet of rajnath singh who is equal in age and lesser in exp...this shows he has a slave mentality..

Kannadigas should rise against these to restore honour

Right Treatment

Whats wrong in that Mr. Shenoy? Dont you understandstudied that these Congress leaders are victims of their own philosophy. They had a habit of licking the feet of Nehru-Gandhi family. Just take look at some of the cabinet ministers in center, Shivraj Patil, Prafull Patel, Arjun Singh, A K Antony, Jaipal Reddy, and Kamal Nath..do you think any of these leaders are having AUKAAT of hlding the portfolio they are holding? They are there because they have been licking the feet of family for more than 25 years now. And this selfish act from some of these stupid people have ruined the country in last 60 years. And somewhere people of India realized it, and hence is the result that BJP is doing well..!

We are talking about a national party like congress. Are you comparing that with the regional caste based parties. Try to make the comparison with the nearest arch rival not to the opponent with the least credibility.

comparing sushma swaraj to sonia
by Chaliya on Jun 01, 2008 02:17 PM  | Hide replies

sonia gandhi has been voted not by so-called chamchas but the world famous magazines as top 5 most infleuntial and powerful leaders of the world...comparing a jealous idiot like sushma swaraj who threatens to shave her head off in a fit of jealousy shows that the author has no idea abt politics....btw can he answer these questions. did advani learn gujarati when he
contested from gandhinagar? how many times has sushma come to karnataka to help the poor people? sonia has made more visits to karnataka and more or less throught india to visit the rural and downtrodden than sushma even makes visits to her local muncipla office in delhi...it is not necessary to learn a lang. to understand people...the language of love and sympathy and not apathy is the best language if u want to serve the people of india...of course being a BJP supporter that the author comes out to be, i am sure he dosen't understand anythign abt serving other people.

Falsie, why is everyone forgetting the New Fascists who are ruining West Bengal for the last 3 decades? The RSS is the only viable alternative to Islamic fundamentalism, Muslim appeasement and Marxist tyranny in this country. Had India not been overwhelmingly Hindu, we would have been one more Islamic country like Pakistan and Bangladesh that came into being after Hindus had become a negligible minority there. And look at the Kashmir Valley which every "Secularist" knows is an integral part of India but does nothing about. It is easier to beat the Hindu to improve one's "Secular" image. The RSS is there to see that no anti-nationalist Trojan Horse gets a walkover at any time. It's slogan is "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Just as the cow does not die as a result of the Vulture's curse, the RSS will not vanish for pleasing the Deshdrohis. Today, it is the vulture that is facing extinction and we have an overpopulation of cows in India despite millions of them being sent across the border to Bangladesh by the Marxists in West Bengal in order to keep their masters well supplied with their favourite meat.

Karntaka Congressmen shoud feel lucky that they are treated like bonded labourers (as mentioned above). Ask, any Tamil Nadu Congressmen who will vouch for the same. Because, Tamil Nadu Congressmen are not only treated as Bonded Labourers by the High Command, but have also been pledged to the local ruling party!
