it is happening with such an alarming regularity especially in north india that one can doubt that these stupid people are throwing their children intentionally in borewell to get publicity on TV. govermnent should recover the cost of all the army efforts from these idiot parents who allow their children to roam around open borewells.

I doubt whether you have children. No parent will ever push their children into a borewell to get cheap publicity. Instead to penalizing poor parents, the construction company that dig the hole and not filled up must be heavily penalized. And this should be done through quick judgement.

Munna bai, I am sure that you are not married and definitely does not have kids. Just do not talk rubbish for the sake of posting. Shut up and appreciate the Army and blame the persons who have kept the borewell open.
This has happened too many times. If there is a permission required for drilling the hole then an additional security (Rs 10,000$) should be deposited with the municipality which would be returned when the well is either fitted with a pump or closed otherwise.

Very Very good suggetion sir but over and above the deposit wich will be refunded either after filled with a Pump and closed f any incident occur ALL EXPENSES INCURRED should be collected from the one who dug such unclosed Borewells. An order on this effect should be brought in by all the states in India and strictly put into effect by the local municipal corporations/Panchayats. For the tiresome efforts our Army put in saving the small Baby BRAVO Indian Army you are Great and Congadulations and THANKS. Please concerned authorities Book the Culprits and Penalise them with huge penalties so that the othe ones will immediately cover their open borewells.

This borewell is dugged by MLA under a scheme and definately by some one near and dear of MLA.. Evene we make a rule.. no bdy will dare to tiuch them forget about the catch and fine the culprit.

Then let the villages join hand and Lynch the Culprits in wherever unclosed borewells exists and dump them into it. It defenitely will not be a National Loss and the people around can live peacefully.
What the goverment and peoples are doing, stupid peoples, why they are not closing or filling the borwell. When some one fall, they are making hue and cry. on the other hand they are creating open borwell for other and their child trap.
hats to Army men for their efforts to rescue a child from a Pit close to death trap to these young kids. Its high time the official penalizes the people who dig up such Pits and are not responsible citizen .Penalize them with Rs.50,000/- to Rs.5,00,000/- see they will not keep any Pits open in their life time or catch them and put them down in the Pit for 10Hrs to realize their attitude towards Life. These Army men of Our Nation deserve to be praised. Hats off to Indian Army ! Army is known to kill people in battlefield - But this incident would give a different identity to our Army - which helps us during floods, natural calamities and so on..People involved deserve a good treat and recognition !

I can't help but express my kudos to all the people involved in this rescue effort: locals, rescue workes, Army and Vandana herself. This is a commendable job.
India is a lawless land.. All these things will happen 100 times in the future. Unless Sonia Gandhi's grandson ends up with such as accident, no one will ever try to FIX the problem. The safety laws must be enforced.

I wholly agree with you, this incident will not be investigated but will be covered up lot of people will make their bank balance fat. Yes you are right unless some big bods child does not suffer the same fate nothing will be done. as For health and safety It is non existent in India it is unknown. India is a a lawless country.
Mr. Rohit Chauhan, its too much on your part to say such things against any parent. I can just imagine anyone will push their children into death trap, with a high hope to be rescued by Army or someone, before the child is dead. I was so anxious for the poor child who had to live 27 hrs without just any movement in the drak hole. We should be thankful to GOD and equally to the Army & all the rescue team for saving the child. BUT WE HAVE TO CERTAINLY THINK WHY SO MANY CHILDREN ARE FALLING INTO BOREWELLS? THE CENTRE HAS TO BRING IN LAW,IMPOSING HEAVY PENALTY ON THOSE WHO DRILL THE BORE AND LEAVE IT CARELESSLY, WHERE EVEN IF GROWN UP FALLS, WILL HAVE FRACTURE OR CLOSE SHAVE WITH DEATH. CANT THE PEOPLE JUST PUT A HEAVY STONE ON THE MOUTH OF THE BORE WELL? AT LEAST THE BOREWELL OPERATORS SHOULD DO IT, TILL THE JOB IS FINISHED.
