Vegetarian food is much better than non.veg food!
by Proudly Indian on Feb 24, 2008 04:03 PM

Vegetarian food is much better than non.veg food! The modern science has enough reasons to say it! We need not refer mahabharata or quran to conclude that! The ancient tribe lived in India (so called region)was vegetarians. They, Dravida, lived with agriculture. Aryas brought the non veg.food habits to India. Still in south india you can see more vegetarians than north!

Hindu scriptures give permission to have non-vegetarian food
by The Brain on Feb 24, 2008 03:47 PM  | Hide replies

a. There are many Hindus who are strictly vegetarian. They think it is against
their religion to consume non-vegetarian food. But the true fact is that the
Hindu scriptures permit a person to have meat. The scriptures mention
Hindu sages and saints consuming non-vegetarian food.
b. It is mentioned in Manu Smruti, the law book of Hindus, in chapter 5 verse 30
"The eater who eats the flesh of those to be eaten does nothing bad,
even if he does it day after day, for God himself created some to be eaten
and some to be eater."
c. Again next verse of Manu Smruti, that is, chapter 5 verse 31 says
%u201CEating meat is right for the sacrifice, this is traditionally known as a rule of
the gods."
d. Further in Manu Smruti chapter 5 verse 39 and 40 says
"God himself created sacrificial animals for sacrifice, ... , therefore killing in
a sacrifice is not killing.%u201D

Mahabharata Anushashan Parva chapter 88 narrates the discussion
between Dharmaraj Yudhishthira and Pitamah Bhishma about what food
one should offer to Pitris (ancestors) during the Shraddha (ceremony of
dead) to keep them satisfied. Paragraph reads as follows:
"Yudhishthira said, "O thou of great puissance, tell me what that object is
which, if dedicated to the Pitiris (dead ancestors), become inexhaustible!
What Havi, again, (if offered) lasts for all time? What, indeed, is that which
(if presented) becomes eternal?"
"Bhishma said, "Listen to me, O Yudhishthira, what those Havis are which
persons conversant with the rituals of the Shraddha (the ceremony of dead)
regard as suitable in view of Shraddha and what the fruits are that attach to
each. With sesame seeds and rice and barely and Masha and water and
roots and fruits, if given at Shraddhas, the pitris, O king, remain gratified for
the period of a month. With fishes offered at Shraddhas, the pitris remain
gratified for a period of two months. With the mutton they remain gratified
for three months and with the hare for four months, with the flesh of the
goat for five months, with the bacon (meat of pig) for six months, and with
the flesh of birds for seven. With venison obtained from those deer that
are called Prishata, they remaingratified for eight months, and with that
obtained from the Ruru for nine months, and with the meat of Gavaya for
ten months, With the meat of the bufffalo their gratificatio

yes.but your deeds will be judged on the day of judgment purely on your own intentions and actions. You will not be judged from any body elses point of view.
Isalm basicall says believe in One GOd, because His is your creator and everything around you.Do good to people around you first your own brothers and sisters and relatives, then your neighbours and friends and then the rest of the people.
Do justice in every thing and do not descriminate.
Be away from acts of shame (pornography, illegal sex etc), and sins(lies, alcoholism, thefts, bribery, giving false testimony in courts etc)
Thats it.
Word "Islam" means submission of your will infront of God's will.Because you own will and wish may be opposite to what what Islam preaches(mentioned above), and following Islamic teachings may deprive you of many 'worldy benefits", but if you want reward in the life after death, you will have to submit your wish infront of God's wish in this world.
Those who do not submit their own wishes in front of God's wish are simply "Un-Islamic", hence can not be called as Muslims, even if their names be Abdullah or AbulRahman.
So dont worry about them and submit your wish in front of God's wish. This life will end in 50 -60years.giving away things of this life for the eternal life after death is always profitable deed.SIMPLE!

questions to Muslims by Imran Hussein
by mt on Feb 24, 2008 03:27 PM  | Hide replies

1. What does Allah mean? Where is the word Allah come from? Since when? Was this word used before the arrival of Islam?

2. What made God (Allah) choose 40-year-old Mohammad as His last messenger? And what made Allah call Mohammad the best human he ever created we should follow? Can you give us four examples for each of these two questions?

3. The Holy Koran was started revealing when Mohammad was 40 years of age. So, what was the religion of Mohammad before that?

4. According to Islam, there is no God but Allah. He has no appearance and He is unique. Don%u2019t you believe it as Muslims? Now tell us why there are hundreds of words like %u201CWe%u201D and %u201CUs%u201D in the Koran. Does another God exit beside Allah, is that what Allah wants to tell us in His book?

5. Who successfully took over to write Allah%u2019s gifted messages on papers or something else for 23 years travelling everywhere (even in war fields) with Mohammad?

6. Didn%u2019t Mohammad have an official conversation with Allah? What type of voice did he hear from Allah? Was it a male or female voice?

7. Does Allah authorise equal rights to every human being? If yes, can you give us five examples from the Koran?

8. Why did Allah suddenly decide to send His messengers some 1400 to 2000 years ago after millions of years of earth%u2019s evolution? And what makes Allah be silent after that forever?

9. What made Allah particularly choose the desert area to pick undereducated people as H

Answer:
1-%u201CAllah%u201D means one God.This term was used for describing %u201COne God%u201D even before Islam.Jesus Christ used to speak in Hebrew, and used to call God as %u201CIlahi%u201D which sounds so close to %u201CAllah%u201D and means the same i.e. One God.
2-What made God to chose Prophet Muhammed to be the last messenger can be best answered by God Himslef.for example what your wife chose you as husband, who can answer it best?Muhammed was a pious man before he was made God%u2019s messenger and was considered a trustworthy person in his city.People used to call him %u201CAmeen%u201D, in Arabic it means %u201Ctrustworthy%u201D.So he had certain great qualities about him before he was chosen as the messenger.
3-Holy Quran started on the messenger from age of 40yrs.before that the Prophet was just a good person with no religion as such.he used to dislike idol worshipping right from beginning and used to go to one cave called %u201CHiraa%u201D cave to sit calmly and spend time in deep thinking and pondering.
4- According to Islam there is no God but one God and He has all the good properties and characters.
In Surah hashr verse 24, Quraan mentions,%u201D He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names . All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise%u201D.
All the good names (e.g. merciful, creator,Just, noble etc) are the names of one God i.e. Allah.
5-many of the prophets accompanying Him used to write down the messages of Quraan as they u

"Beware of false prophets who come to you disguised as sheep but underneath are ravenous wolves. You will be able to tell them by their fruits. Can people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? In the same way, a sound tree produces good fruit but a rotten tree bad fruit. A sound tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a rotten tree bear good fruit. Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire. I repeat, you will be able to tell them by their fruits. (Mat.7:15-20).

ALSO READ;
In Sura "The Women (An-Nissaa)", 171 it says: "People of the Writings. Do not exaggerate in your religion. Don't say about God but the truth: that the anointed, Jesus, son of Mary, is the only sent one of God and his Word, that He has communicated to Mary and a spirit that comes from Him. Believe, so, in God and His sent ones."

The Quoran declares that Jesus Christ is the Word of God and the Spirit of Him. So the Word of God and His spirit exist with and in God from eternity and neither His Word nor His Spirit have a beginning or an end. So then, Jesus must be God. This truth confirms waht John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God".

The second thing that I discovered has to do with the Bible being perfect. In spite of everything that the Quoran says about the Bible being corrupted, I found that the Quoran orders that each Muslim should believe in the Bible. It says, "Say: People of the Writing do not do anythi

5-many of the prophets accompanying Him used to write down the messages of Quraan as they used to be revealed on the prophet. They used to write it on paper.Paper was present in those times toi Arabs for writing. Many of the prophet%u2019s companion had by-hearted the Quraan and used to recite it aloud in front of the prophet several times in a year.Quraan was written in its final form in osman%u2019s (Prophet%u2019s son-in-law) caliphate in five copies, and those copies are preserved till this date (You can findOriginal copies ; one in Tashkent, Uzbekistan; the other in Istanbul, Turkey. ) Sir William Muir, wrote: "There is probably in the world no other book which has remained 12 (now 14) centuries with so pure a text," (Life of Muhammad, Haykal).
So not a single word from Quran could be changed since the prophets time, as even now millions of Muslims have Quraan by hearted and it is read five time in daily prayers!!!!
Many scientific facts, unknown to man 1400 years ago, were revealed in the Quran. Each of them is proven to be scientifically correct (a few examples:
%uF0D8      The 'Big Bang' theory of Creation of the Universe
%uF0D8      Planets and orbital patterns of the Cosmos
%uF0D8      Conception and stages of embryological growth (%u2018The Developing Human%u2019, Prof. Keith Moore, Uni. of Toronto)
%uF0D8      Reference to fingerprints

6-Prophet Muhammed NEVER had an official conversation with Allah.Only one prophet had this opportunity and that was prophet Moses.

Besides Christianity, Islam is the only religion on earth that accepts the miraculous birth of Jesus. Jesus is mentioned 25 times in the Quran.
The facts MUSLIMS Follow which is actually also mentioned in Bible and Torah but the Christians and Jews Do NOT Follow!!!.....
The Highest Honor of Women is Given to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, in the Quran (chapter #19).
Monotheism: Torah: %u201CI am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God%u201D (Isaiah 44:6);
Bible: %u201CThe Lord our God is one Lord%u201D (Mark 12:29); Quran: %u201CHe is God, The One and Only%u201D (Quran 112:1).
Pork Forbidden: God ordered Moses: %u201CAnd the swine is unclean to you%u2026%u201D(Leviticus 11:7). Jesus never ate pork in his life. Muslims never eat pork.
Wine Drinking Prohibited: %u201C%u2026drink neither wine nor strong drink%u2026%u201D(Luke 1:15). Muslims do not drink wine or alcohol ever.
Usury / Interest Forbidden: %u201CTake thou no usury%u2026%u201D (Leviticus). %u201CHe has put not out his money to usury.%u201D (Psalms 15:5). Interest is forbidden in Islam.
9-What made Allah particularly chose desert of Aatabia for Islam?well again ony Allah can give a correct answer. However , since numerous prophets were already sent to all the parts of the world except this deset of Arabia, it was logical to send at least one last prophet there so that they don%u2019t complain in the day of Judegement of not having a prophet for their guidance!!

7-Allah has given Equal rights to men and women .see Quraan chapter2verse 228 %u201CAnd they (women) have rights similar (to those of their husbands) over them%u201D
There four more places where rights of orphans and poor are mentioned.I shall mention the verse numbers you can read it from Quraan. These are just five examples, there hundreds of places in Quraan where justice, rights and equalities are discussed.
The Four more examples are..Sura Al-Israh verse28,Surah Al-Mtaffifeen verse1,Surah Al-Nisa verse1,Surah AlNisa verse86,Surah Al-Baqarah verse 178
8-Allah did not suddenly about sending the Prophet. Before Muhammed several Prophets were sent to mankind,Those mentioned in Quraan prominently are,Jesus Christ,Moses,Solomon,David,Joseph,Yohanna,Zakariyya,Shoeb,Khizr,Noah,Abrahim,Ishmael,Yaqub(Israel),haroon, etc etc. In fact it is now believed that even Hinduism was actually from the One God i.e. Allah but later its teachings were changed and disfigured. Verse 5 of Bhavishya Puran:%u201C%u2026His name will be Mahamad%u2026 Mahadev Arab%u2026 'O Ye! The pride of mankind, the dweller in Arabia.%u201C%u2026 (Prati Sarg Parv III).
Sama Veda, II, 6, 8: "Ahmad acquired religious law from his Lord. This law of religion is full of wisdom."
God said to Moses, "I will raise up a Prophet%u2026 like unto thee. I will put my words in his mouth, & he shall speak them all...%u201D (Deuteronomy18:18)
Muslims believe and accept all the Prophets mentioned in the Torah, the Bible, and the Quran.
Besides Christianity, Islam is the onl

It may benefit us to take into consideration Judaism and Christianity to better understand the difference between what is being taught as the religion and what some people do. The Book of Genesis in the Torah (Old Testament) tells of an incident referred to by Scholars such as Rabbi Allison Bergman Vann, as the "Rape of Dinah." (note#3 & #4 below)
It is easy to conclude the offer of circumcizing and coming to their religion was only a trick to defeat the men while they were in such pain and suffering (keep in mind, in those days there were no clinics or even sterile conditions for such operations).
Another reference to "conversion and apostasy" regarding Jews during the years after Jesus, peace be upon him, occurred in the south of Arabia in Yemen. Yusuf Dhu Nawas, a Jewish leader in Yemen, attacked the Christians of Najran ordering them to embrace Judaism or be burned in a pit of fire. Estimates put the number of those killed between 20,000 and 40,000.

Now let us breifly compare the treatment of conversion and apostasy with other civilizations and societies over the centuries.
The Roman civilization would not tolerate someone who accepted the benefits of citizenship and the turned against the government. These people were made short work of as entertainment for the people, while gladiators tortured and killed them for public sport. (see: Encyclopedia Britanitca; Rome).

note #6 below)
Some would claim the Protestants are not the same as the Catholics. Read what the first real "protestant," Martin Lurther, had to say about this (taken from Jamal Udeen Zaraboza's article).
Let us consider the follow example for comparison:
> There is a person living in Russia decides he wants to become a citizen of the United States and goes to the United States Embassy and begins the procedure of immagration and naturalization. Later on he changes his mind, doesn't like things the US is doing and decides to give it up.
> Now he cancels his immagration process. This would could lessen his chances of getting citizenship in the future but would not bring about retaliation against him from the US.
> Then, if he begins to publicly speak out against the US policy and puts up websites, sends out emails makes speeches calling for acts of violence against America, he definitely is going to have a problem ever getting a chance a citizenship later if he should change his mind and like to become an American.
> Next, he goes so far as to actually recruit people and train them at some paintball place while telling them they are preparing to attack America.

Yet another example that occurred at the time of our blessed prophet, peace be upon him, was that of some who pretended they wanted to be Muslims only to take advantage of the believers, gain some worldly benefits and then abused and slaughtered an entire group of shepherds that memorized the entire Quran, who were caring for them. They killed them in cold blood and took everything for themselves. The prophet, peace be upon him, was very disturbed over this and ordered them to be severely punished and left to die without any food or water. From this example we learn how to deal with traitors and terrorists who have no intention of doing anything except evil and spreading fitnah (evil and terror) throughout the land.
Over the centuries since the inception of Islam, we can find cases of people leaving Islam and what was their example and what the pervailing jurists decided in their particular situation. Most all of these were not punished except in the cases of treason, other acts of viloence or for propagating corruption, dissention and promoting evil along with their apostasy. Those who were found to be causing sedition or of being enemy spies during times of war or advocating the overthrow of Islamic government could understandably be courtmartialed and executed.

If a person wants to accept this belief and way of life, then they should be free to do so. If another person would reject this even though the evidence is clearly in favor of Islam, they are free to make this choice but would live in the society still receiving the benefits and services available, such as food, shelter, clothing, protection and charity. However, they would pay a larger tax on their wealth due to their not being conscripted to serve in the military and so on.

Conditions are really what bring about the different rulings on dealing with those who enter Islam and then leave it, with the clear intention of bringing about descention and unrest amongst the people. Also, those who seek to convert people away from Islam into other faiths or to destroy the Islamic government would naturally be considered as traitors and then dealt with as such.

All knowledge is with Allah and for any mistakes I seek Allah's forgiveness and beg the pardon of anyone whom I may have offended in this writing.

Question: Is he going to be listed as a terrorist and enemy to America?

What about those who joined him for paintball practice and listened to his talks? Would they be listed along with him, as terrorists?

Would they be tortured (in some other country) and then spend the rest of their lives in prison?

! > After all, they are enemies to the state and should be treated as such. Right?

To conclude, Islam comes from Allah, the actual Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Islam provides for all situations and dictates what are the rights and limitations. This all seeks to provide a safe enviornment for all people to learn the correct message of Almighty Allah and how to live as upright citizens in a place of pleace and mutual cooperation for all humans, regardless of their beliefs.
