taj burns

Taj burns - what were the mumbai based politicians doing? Mr. Raj Thackeray , the shiv senas go on rampages otherwise for no rhyme or reason could they not send their men to tackle the problems ? they themselves are terrorising mumbai and maharashtra so why not come face to face with their brothers - the other terriorist? the outcome would have got them the full of maharashtra's standing ovation and a permanent place for ruling maharashtra - all politicians are bad - they are opportunist and are for themselves the recent events have shown us - maybe ramgopal verma will have his next hit based on mumbai seize - my sincere request to the media - do not give these politians any milage they are not qualified to rule our country - we need self scarifising persons - like mr. karkare and the others who died for a cause.

Think carefully. In this terror attack Mumbai police lost tehir 18 cops (all were Marathi) & NSG lost only their 2 commandos(One north indian & one Kanndiga). But this is not a time to speak about such things. All who donated their lives were Indian I suppose. And more of all many MNS & Shiv sena activists went for helping police who were rescuing the various places after attack. Please don't humilliate our Shahid cops by tagging them Marathi or north indian. None of the cop went inside to save only perticular region people. They went to save people all around the world. If ur still playing the Marathi non marathi game, ur not only humilliating the sacrifice of those cops but ur also helping those terrorist's ideology. Don't be fool to say such things now. Identify our real enemy & fight with them.

Wow!
The MNS men actually went helping police who were rescuing...
What terrific bravery of them to opt to do this instead of facing terrorists bullets themselves!

this is not a time to blame each other but time to get united to fight terrorism.the govt the opposition and the common people should be involved to fight the terror.even the new govt of Pakistan should be asked to join India at this hour.now time has come to tackle this nuisance firmly & with conviction.the politics of votes has to be forgotten if this country has to survive.

Mr. Prabhakar, Can you name a single politician in India to whom we can trust? You can not. No one can in India.
Actually our constitution was made based on British system. This type of general election system is only applicable where majority of the people are educated and qualify atleast certain level. THIS SYSTEM IS TOTALLY WRONG IN OUR COUNTRY. WE(COMMON PEOPLE/AAM ADMI)ARE NOT ENOUGH QUALIFIED FOR VOTING SYSTEM. Try to under stand the root cause of all problems. In our country approx. 10% people hate to vote, 20% can not vote. Out of rest 70%, 20% are forced and 50% are induced by parties. If we can not find a better system either, we can define a qualifying line above which can only vote. Promote below the line people and encourage them to raise their potential to earn the voting rights. I would like to have opinion from all persons in this discussion board.

Shivraj Patil
by renu s on Dec 01, 2008 02:57 PM

In retrospect the Left the CPM in particular has done the greatest disservice to the nation as they were squarely responsible for baulking at Shivraj Patil being made the President Teh CPM came up with the outlandish reason of Shivraj Patil being a follower of Sai Baba and hence would not be suited to the post of President They thus deprived India of a better Home Minister for more than 2 years

TAJ burning? Where is our President
by Anil Kulkarni on Dec 01, 2008 02:52 PM

I wonder as to what our President was doing out of country when TAJ was burning here? I feel the President should have cut short the visit to foreign countries and rushed to India. I know the President could have hardly done in the matter in the wake of commando action but the presence of President, the Supreme Commandor of forces would have boosted their morale.

Some B-grade bollywood stars are trying to get publicity by using this to their advantage:
Ex:
1.Ritesh desmukh: Hanging around taj like a puppy to get some work from RGV
2.Koena mitra says she "joined facebook groups". That must really scare terrorist away.
3.Celina lighted a candle.
Why does our crappy media cover these wannabes?

Where was Raj Thackeray during the siege?
by Arnab M on Dec 01, 2008 02:29 PM  | Hide replies

Where was Raj Thackeray and his band of goons when South Mumbai was burning?
He should have been at the forefront of action trying to save Mumbai from the terrorists?
How on earth did he allow north Indians and Indians some other locations who are in the NSG to dare come and save Mumbai???!!!!
Go get the terrorists Raj! Go get 'em!!

Hello. Do not twist my message to try to evoke sympathy. I am fully aware of the huge sacrifice made by the Marathi police - for whom I have the greatest admiration.
I was just questioning the rabidity of Raj Thackeray and his goons, not the brave police or the brave NSG commandos
Raj Thackeray is a real enemy of India due to his hate politics and attempt to divide the country

Make the existing religions irrelevant for a better world
by Sebastian Cherukanam on Dec 01, 2008 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

One who escaped from the Bombay Terror attack was saying that he had carried a Ganesha Idol with him and that is the reason why he was escaped from there. It is absurd. What about the 200 who had lost their lives in that heinous attack? NSG commandos died for him and others and even in this 21st century, he gives credit to these useless idols and Gods. It is not just the terrorists but all these believers too are threats to humanity. In the near future, we will have a Terrorist-turned-Prime Minister that is Advani who uses Hindu terror to obtain power. By saying this I am not saying that the present ones are not terrorists. We have Bishops, again terrorists, in Kerala who are standing against a democratically against government every now and then in the name of minority rights for their personal gains. We have Islam organizations whose only interest is power games and bargaining. India is no doubt a dormant volcano which can erupt at any time. We have already seen its mild eruption here and there. We have to look beyond all the man-made religions so as to come out of the self-made cocoons we are in which will help us to love one another and to make this planet a better place to live in. It is a must now and this is not just the best solution but the only solution to come out of this terror threat. We have to begin now for that change to occur and I say this is one good thing as well as keeping this planet as it is that we can do for the new generations to come.

Yes I agree with you. All religions are false. If you read all vedic books of all religions except Buddhism, Jainism & some all are preaching barbaric acts. Actually it is a mirror reflection of those times. I have lost faith in God, religion, rituals, and people who preach it, etc. There are personal experiences related to this and many people does not know what is happening or succumb to religion, community, family pressures and never tell this fact to others. God is created by man to rule his community. Just think Religion will never let you ask questions and won't answer them directly whereas Science will encourage you to ask questions and find answers for it that is why mankind has come to this level. Prophet died while having sex with Katheja who is elder than him and there are so many immoral things. Mary was impregnated by Holy Ghost, but according to science only child forms when there is union between male and female. If a female becomes pregnant by following religious way then go for DNA test to find the male who can be a visitor/in-house/resident, etc.

Mr. Sebastian. Please cool down. Whether one holds a Ganesha idol or A Cross or Mother Mary's picture, it is the belief, it is the faith that saves a person from any bad situation, even from the clutches of definite Death. Many happenings have proved this. Have you not heard of this? miracle of prayer? during the Second world war, the doctors abandoned some wounded soldiers/people thinking they would not survive and why waste the scarce medical resources. Abandoned these prayed to their own Gods and lo ! most of abandoned men were saved while many of those who were cared for died. If you have a grandfather living you ask him. He will vouchsafe for this !

I even today remember. Several years before a Christian friend of mine and his wife prayed for my recovery when I was virtually in deathbed. They had prayed to the Mother in Velaganny Church that if I survived they would bring me there and make me light 24 candles.
