RAW journalism
by Prabhakar KRISHNA on Aug 24, 2008 10:11 AM

How much favour did your reporter got to write this? What is the credibility of the complainant? How can you hold guilty without any proof? This article shows the face of dirty, sensational and yellow journalism. You cant taint an organisation at the behest of an individual who is yet to prove the allegations.

The final proof
by dheeraj on Aug 24, 2008 10:10 AM

The final proof that the arrested persons by the Gujarat Police are the real culprits comes in the name of a mail from Indian Mujahadeen. In the mail the Indian Mujahadeen has contended that none of the arrested are its activisits and they are innocent .
Onlookers should remember that Police had arrested many Muslims after every bomb blastsand many of them are languishing in jails , a prime example being Mumbai 2006 yet no such e mail had come .
That such an e mail has come has indicated that a raw nerve has been touched and the Gujarat Police stand has been vindicated .

How could our government be so insensitive in dealing with these kinds of issues? Without having been proved any allegation with proper evidence, how could those officials belittle her like that? Can't the high court or supreme court take up this issue of her open disgracing by those officials seriously under sumoto or some other category? Where should the change come? It's easy to say that public should react. However, what is it's practical possibility and how many times should people come on to roads each day?; would thousand times be enough a day, taking the number of one or the other such irresponsible acts? Can't there be a better alternative that will automatically and voluntarilyact with authority on such incidents.

It is high time that a thorough investigation is ordered by independent persons to look into the style of functioning of R&AW in the light of attempted suicide of Nisha

Tale of....
by vijay mittal on Aug 24, 2008 09:46 AM

R&WA has always been in news for wrong reasons. Instead of working for country it has always bungled and is busy in witch hunting. It allowed a senior officer of GOI who was USA mole to move out of country to USA (With family).
Correct me if I am wrong.

R&AW should put its house in order rather then blaming lady.

A losing proposiion....
by SS Kumar on Aug 24, 2008 09:23 AM

Invariably, in all of the internal governmental
enquiries, the truth is invariably the first casualty with the outcome already fixed to save the seniors, even before the enquiry gets under way. Likewise, in aircraft crashes, God forbid, if the pilots are dead, they are made to take all the blame because they can never come back and defend themselves whereas the reality might be that the landing systems were not functional or the airport tower misguided them. This enquiry does not answer as to why a senior lady should go to the extreme end of trying a suicide if the internal HR management systems were sound within the Army. People are slowly losing faith in such enquiries.

Sheer stupidity
by Secular India on Aug 24, 2008 09:14 AM

Women's harassment in any office is a serious matter and must be punished and condemned. However - if a woman officer in an intelligence agency indulges in such drama and is not able to handle such situations, then probably work in a spy agency is too dangerous for her anyway. A degree of smartness is expected of her to solve her problems. And if she can't - then we have a problem with the recruiting standards of the agency.

It's high time our Seniors become more proffesional
by chanderkiran nanda on Aug 24, 2008 09:10 AM

Today India can lead the world if and only if People managing change their attitude towards things. They must manage people below them by controlling their work and not by controlling them perse. Let the subordinate be given opprotunity to do work on their own initiative. Asiist them when they come for help. DO NOT TAKE POLITICAL INFLUENCING DECISION IN SOMEONE FAVORS.
RAW is a very prsitageous institution and cases such should not be exposed at such early stage. This shows someone at top is trying the hide the facts and trying to make a scape goat of M/S. Bhatia. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE CASE IN TOTALLITY, ANALIZE WITH CLEAN DECISION AND TAKE A FIRM DECISION. BOTH PARTIES MUST FEEL SATISFIED.
Regards,

Nanda
