RESPONSE TO ABBAS TYREWALA AND ASHOTOSH GAWARIKER
by Proud Hindustani on Aug 15, 2008 09:30 PM  | Hide replies

I WOULD LIKE SEE ABBAS TYREWALA TO GO ON A ALL PAID WORLD TOUR...

starting with India and go make this speech in ALL Mosques of the world.I dare you to even go on a speaking tour to Kashmir to make such similar claims. I defy and dare him--- I have witnessed first hand what muslims from India or other parts of the world tell me on my face and what they say when amongst themselves and in the mosque. They are full of hatred and venom.

I also dare our Bombay/Mumbai superstars Khans (Shah Rukh Asif Ali, Salman and Ammir) Sabana Azmi and other multitudes of Muslims Producers, Directors etc to make public speeches promoting peace and Indian Nationalism/Pride/loyalty in the country that has given them unrestricted opportunities for Fame and Billions of wealth.

If you want to repay your debt to this great civilization please step to the plate and act and not just provide lip service.

On the second topic Ashutosh Gowariker's dream for India---a computer for every family, he should put his money where is mouth is, start the project and use his influence to make it happen.

Alas, old habits die hard, talk is cheap, soon they will go begging to Mr. Bill Gates to do this for them. Then throw a lavish party fit for a king for publicity inviting Government heads and multi Billionaire businessmen.

The poor masses (villagers) after the event will be soon forgotten with some symbolic photo shoots.

A year later the party will repeat itself and some awards will be given at the Rashtrapati

The India you speak of was constructed by secular and humble personalities. Not by killers of Gandhis. We muslims are proud of India. Only the fanatics do not see progress of India. Construction means demolition of masjids and taj mahal and qutub minaar to them.
Saare jahan se achha hindusta hamaara.
Ask pseudo patriots to respect India, and accept its progress.

Mr. Ahmed Sharif: I have been reading your posts on this page and am veyr proud of your views. Or I should say that I am ashamed of all those other people who generalize all the problems to all muslims and call them terrorists.
This message of yours about how India was constructed by Secular and Humble personalities is so true and for today's BPO culture, this is beyond their understanding. Its alarming that this concept of polarizing has seeped in deep in everyone's mind, however broad-minded or mature they may call themselves.
Happy Independence day to you brother.
Jai Hind

I agree with you Ahmad. I liked the BJP of Vajpayee not for HIndutva but to fight against leftist goons in the congress party who were preventing progress.BUt V.P>Singh made the biggest blunder of Mandal commision and the Sindhi crook Advani used the Babri Masjith demolition for Hindu votes. Ever since Indians are polarized. No orthodox hindu was for demolition. One 80 year old lady from Orthodox Brahmin family said "there are no people to go to the existing temples. How stupid it is to demolish a masjith to build a temple".It is only the refugees Hindus from pakisthan who have ruined everything. Politicians have no morals or sensitivity towards any community. How beautiful India was in 60's and 70's. We were poor but people were united.

well...thank God this time reidff spared a stereotypic interview or photo of a old bearded man with a typical muslim cap on his head and talking humbly, emotionaly (in a regional urdu-hindi mix language )to show his great respect and patriotism to this country ( which will offcourse receive as usual skeptical responses )..It always remindes me that ad of TATA Namak ..in which same stereotype old bearded, moderate, muslim says at the end of ad..AAKHIR DESH KA NAMAK KHAYA HAI.
Here it is compulsory to express and sometimes pursuade/prove your loyalty to this country...only wishing Independence day or shouting slogan is not enough..that is acceptable from all other non-muslims ( no matter how much they screw this country and its resources for rest of 364 days of year & IN TURN BLAME IT ON POLITICIANS TO GET RID OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITY )
then as usual..some Mullah or Waqf board or Jamaat Ulema chairperson or president will wish all Indians and ask to live in harmony, and may get carried away in speech under extreme emotions and say something that is contradictory to beliefs in Islam..and then will start a fresh game of NEW FATWA against this poor guy..Then media will jump to this issue like a hungry stray dogs jumps at the freshly thrown garbabe in garbabe can.
and below this messege guys who are pi*ssed off by reading this will start thrwoing their comments on me.then some reasonable guy will jump in ask all of us not to divert from the I-day celebration and ignore nuts lk me

I attended the last I-D celebrations 30 plus yeras ago....
by Proud Hindustani on Aug 15, 2008 07:26 PM

What I recall most is the crispy New Delhi morning with fog, frost clean air in the atmosphere filled with a great joy of anticipation and pride in the country's progress. A great sense of Nationalism and Patriotism aided by blaring patriotic songs and National Anthem. The MOST Important factor being a lack of insecurity of a Terrorist attack, with the presence of ALL security personnel to the MINIMUM.

Today no matter what function is held in India or world wide there is this dark cloud of fear of an terrorist attack.

This to me is the most important change in our (India) celebrations from the first to the last I-D celebrations. All the other issues mentioned since the last 61 years pale in comparison.

I read all guest columns by highly reputable and extremely knowledgeable contributors in their field of expertise e.g defense, Foreign , Law, Intelligence etc. What has consistently failed me to understand of what is being done or pursued by the Government being in glaring contradiction. Subsequently 90% of the time resulting in India coming out at the losing end or an embarrassment for India.

What compels our Government to ignore or act against the esteemed experts in their respective field?? PLEASE enlighten me.

India could be and should have been multi fold ahead in ALL field compared to where it is 61 years after independence. I sadly have to acknowledge as most of the rediff readers is we do NOT have "LEADERS" in true sense but incompetent, corrupt, self servin

We the common Indian gather the same feeling of the writer who himself was part of the observation. As an ambassador whilst staying in America the writer could have made significant contributions to the Indians settled and working there in U.S. I went to the Indian Passport Office {Embassy}at SFO a few years' back. The functioning was similar to an old post office where we had to stand in queue for trunk call booking. Another well-known official also made an observation when he was invited for a function in a Software Organisation in Santa Clara that around 80 Indian Softwere people gathered there.

i fully agree with what sir TP Sreenivasan has reffered in his article.presently india is undergoing a critical phase in terms of internal security, inflation, nulear deal and political stability.in his speech on I-day,prime minister should have focussed more on the strength and positives of our country.we as a citizen alaways feel like united at any moment which concern our country but these political fragmentation seem to act as a hindrence.he should have definately mentioned about Abhinav Bindra.

Because of Dr. MMS Economy policies India is able to achieve 8%-9% GDP GDP growth from last 10 years and millions of Jobs created in India fastest in the world.
by Amit Arora on Aug 15, 2008 06:05 PM  | Hide replies

It doesn't matter Dr Manmohan Singh is puppet or Advani support Pakistan and Mohammad Ali Jinnah for Muslim votes or Karat support China.
The thing which matter most is that Indian Economy should grow with 9% - 10% and Jobs in India will always be create as fastest pace in the world.Which is happening right now in Dr. Manmohan Singh rule.

Inspite of these corrupt and incompetent party we are seeing our entrepreuners grow and prosper its thanks to pioneering effort of people like narayan murthy who gave and built confidence in american to do business of outsourcing to india that we see these growth in all sectors.

Just making policies is not enough...corruption has to be eliminated if majority of population have to get benefits from tax payers funds.

It is during 'clean' MMS rule that there was unprecedented trading of MPs during the recent trust vote, much bigger that that of PVN Rao, when Sibu Soren etc were given crores in cash inside Loksabha for winning trust vote. Inflation is 12.44%, highest in last 16 yrs. Thousands of farmers hv committed suicide during recent yrs.

The gap between haves and have nots has increased a lot.

MMS is very communal also. He loses slip only when an Indian Muslim, who is also brother of a terrorist, is charged and jailed oversease on terrorism charges. MMS says that Muslims hv first right on our resources. He is also trying to save Afzal from death sentence by SC, bcz he is a Muslim.

U must b very mad, when u say that Advani is supporting Pakistan.

As regards Advani supporting Jinnah, there is a confusion. He had only said that after separation, Jinnah had said in his first speech that Pakistan would b a secular country. However, just as Congressmen stopped listening to Gandhiji from about 1946 onwards, when it became clear that independence was just in hand, Pakistani politicians also did not listen to Jinnah.

Earlier Jinnah was also a secular in his heart and did not support separetists, but when he found that Nehru will b the first PM, he joined the separatists due to his lust for power.

I am sure you must be punching in on your laptop sitting in the comfort of a decent flat in a well to do city. Go to the villages and you will understand MMS Economy. It is easy to pontificate from the comforts of your cofee table but it is a totally different ball game when you have to scrounge to meet your daily needs day in and day out.

This special effect of GDP 8-9% growth is sponsored by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In 1999 Vajpayee really work hard for connecting India all Metro city by highway.
Vajpayee also work hard for connecting nation all river, which is still pending.
If India's all river get connected, it will bring revolution in farmers life & real freedom in rural India.

8% - 9% growth in next 20 years will help India to reduce poverty.
by raj on Aug 15, 2008 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

8% - 9% growth in next 20 years will help India to reduce poverty.
With 8% - 9% growth in next 20 years poor will become 10% percent of total population only.
Still more than 40 % people lives under poverty.
As per government data it was 90% people lives under poverty in 1970.
80% in 1980.
70% in 1990
60% in 2000
And now 40% it means improvement is there in next 20 years it will become 10 to 20 percent only.

Wherefrom did u get the data that poverty was 90% in 1970. Moreover u r just reducing it by 10% every decade. Talk on real data and not on data based on yr own imagination.

You seem to be hell bent on blaming it entirely on this government. Though I am also not a fan of this government; you will agree that Rome was not made in a day. Over the years the issues of poverty, inflation, corruption has worsened irrespective whether it is the Cong or the BJP or the Alliances ruling India. India has continued to rise above these concerns and still prospered due to some of our 'Non-political' leaders. I would love to see some of our politicians cross their party-thinktank-viewpoint and think more for the country. If that happened we would have had the nuclear deal approved in the parliament.

When will Indians learn ?
by Suresh on Aug 15, 2008 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

....the difference between the false propaganda by con-gress chamchas that this party got us us independence .

Its an absolute lie. No one in this party was part of old congress plus con-gress ( I- Islamic ) was started by Mrs Khan , who married ( used fake name - Indira Gandhi ) to fool and rule dumb ignorant indians....its her dynasty.

She is descendent of ghiasuddin gazi , delhi kotwal , who to escape the british changed his name to gangadhar- fake kashmiri pandit.

Read more by searching google ' nehru dynasty ' for some facts that will blow you away..

Now you know why this special protection to muslim rights that are more important than majority rights ?

Indira fell in love with Feroz Khan, son of a shopkeeper in UK. Later surname Khan was shrewdly changed by affidavit to 'Gandhi', to take advantage of the name of Gandhiji. Till this day it is going on.
