Indira fell in love with Feroz Khan, son of a shopkeeper in UK. Later surname Khan was shrewdly changed by affidavit to 'Gandhi', to take advantage of the name of Gandhiji. Till this day it is going on.

knowing finance is not only the creteria to be a primeminister, he has to bring in uniform civil code and not apease the minorities and destroy the fabric of India.

It is during 'clean' MMS rule that there was unprecedented trading of MPs during the recent trust vote, much bigger that that of PVN Rao, when Sibu Soren etc were given crores in cash inside Loksabha for winning trust vote. Inflation is 12.44%, highest in last 16 yrs. Thousands of farmers hv committed suicide during recent yrs.
The gap between haves and have nots has increased a lot.
MMS is very communal also. He loses slip only when an Indian Muslim, who is also brother of a terrorist, is charged and jailed oversease on terrorism charges. MMS says that Muslims hv first right on our resources. He is also trying to save Afzal from death sentence by SC, bcz he is a Muslim.

What reforms? Wanton Tax waiviers, FDI investment pumping up inflation..Indian growth has been derailed by the subprime crisis, something which is a design problem. MMS should have known better.
Gandhi realised that congress walas will use the independence movement to loot the country instead of uplifting the masses and wanted the congress abolished.
He said, real independence will come when every indian has met his basic neccessacities .
But 60% of the population do not have basic human neccasities nor food often we hear of people dying of hunger and living in near desitution.

gandhiji was not present during ceremony. he nominatedsardar patel who did commendable job of asserting therights during the war with pakisthan but forced by neheru and russian oficials.(THe real victory was kargil..10,000 pakiies were killed andlotofammunination and international prestige of pakis was lost)

On this 62nd independence day we must think how to make most of the people happy
It has been seen in the developed world, that despite tremendous materialistic growth during last 50 yrs, happiness of people has not increased. Hence growth of GDP is meaningless. But in the pursuit of materialistic growth, which does not increase happiness, we r spoiling the environment, increasing deforestation, pollution etc
Happiness comes from mind. Once the basic needs (fresh air, potable water, food, chothing and shelter) of a person r met, increase in money or materialistic items result only in temporary happiness, it does not give permanent peace of mind. It is useless to accumulate lot of wealth and materialistic items and it is also harmful to the nature to do so. Therefore govt and media must emphasize people to lead a simple life
Secondly population of the country is very much and still increasing very fast, more so in poor families of Hindi belt and poor Muslims all over the country. We've world's 2.4% land but 16% of its population. Rate of our population increase is 1.6% against world average of 1.2%. We must adopt one child norm, as is the case in China since 1979, where population growth is @ 0.6%. World population in 1800 was 79 cr and now it is 610 cr, which is very bad for the world. Some Muslims wrongly think that family plg is non Islamic, as even Iran is strongly implementing it. More population means more pollution and more conflicts resulting in unhappiness

Views expressed are right we have become a very indisciplined democracy allowing all & sundry to come in our country & make it a time bomb waiting to burst. Ok economy is growing but if we don't provide a secure & safe environment these MNCs will run in no time. We should also be choosy in allowing FDI.Never allow polluting industries to come up here only the ones with clean technology. Growth has to be widespread & not concentrated to cities putting extra pressure on Infrastructure. Wonder what would be the rate of accidents after all these small cars are launched
