CIA has managed to stage a right revolution at the right time and caught the Chinese unawares! The Olympic Committee gifted China the Olympics venue with all these unseen but expected attachments,which you cannot delete or nor make into a folder.It is a face staring at you while you are awake or asleep!The options available are to either wipe out the face totally and face world criticism or embrace the face to make it look like yours.This requires a great deal of thought and sacrifice,particularly that of the EGO!!
This Richard M Benett guy does sound quite an expert and I am not saying this because of his obvious attempt to impress us with names & other details not easily available. Obviously he is correct. CIA cannot ignore such a delicious oppurtunity, but my heart goes for the tibetans. They will be tortured & butchered for treason. These protests will not be of any consequence in the long run & will die down. And it will have no effect on China or USA, but the poor Tibetan Population will face the wrath of Chinese military for years to come. I hope nothing bad happens during the games.
If the CIA has created the current unrest in Tibet, which I am still not convinced that it did, well, it must be the first time CIA did anything praiseworthy.
Narayan: You are the only few in this Forum has a vision. Olympics in China indeed is for those developping countries, especially for those Asia and Africa developping countries. Touch relay is an example. It passes more Asian and African countries than Europe and North american countries even these western countries can get more medals in Olympics. Why? Look at India and Pak. You two countries rarely get any medals in the Olympics but Chinese delibetely chose your two countries as touch relay routs because your two countries represent a large undeveloped population. The West always want to get China because China does not adopt western system but their own way of life. The west feel uncomfortable about China's developemt and became more powerful. They want China, and I think even India, to be always weak so they can exploit them. Time has changed but the colonism has never changed or disappeared. Yes, China is still one party system but this is not the only reason that the west hate China. In the deep down, the white western do not like colored people to dominate the world. My India friends, look around you, all colored people in this world are poor (Korea and Japan are still be colonised by USA and they do not have independent foriegn policy. They are too samll to dominate world). I feel sad that a lot of Indian do not trust China or Chinese. I can tell you that Chinese do not hate Indian. All the borders issues are British' faults (Colonist's strategy - divide & conquer).
There is only one thing worse than an unchallenged superpower - it is a superpower with a victim mentality, which feels the world owes it a favour.
And the bitter truth is that, after centuries of humiliation in foreign affairs, there is a nationalist mood in China that the country's time has come again, that it can again claim its rightful place as the world's most powerful country.
Its comparative weakness over the last few centuries is, in fact, but a blip in the last 2,000 years, during which China was the world's most economically and culturally advanced nation.
The Bejing Olympics is the first in history ever to be held in a Third World country. This Olympics not only represent the aspiration of 1/5 mankind but also the aspiration of developing counteries around the world and its potential. All these protests and media biassness sanctioned by western counteries is an attempt to sabotarge the aspiration of developing counteries to keep the west as masters of the world.

You must be very ignorant. Mexico, South Korea, are not developed Western countries. They had Olympic. China has nothing to do with the Developing countries. China was the most selfish country in the world. When the developing countries were fighting for freedom China was supporting the Western countries. It is a great friend of Saudi Arabia. All Western countries particularly USA support China.

Totally agree with Bose, looks like Narayan is Chinese spy on this forum..India should rather stick to CIA then Chinese..They have done business in Darfur when millions of people were killed..They are blood sucker and would anything that crawls..

1) Humanitarian ground. 2) Support Democracy. 3) Get Back Mansoravar, Akasai Chin, which is now under Chineese occupation. 4) Water----China is building Huge Dams on river Brahmaputra, this is the a big concern to India's future water woes. 5)Tibet is being used as a Base for deployment for Nuclear Missiles, most of them are pointed towards india.

Kailash Mansarover definitely needs to be got back. But freeing it from China doesn't end the matter. It will be a much needed first step though.
