Increase Forests
by Dravidian on Oct 31, 2007 05:41 PM  | Hide replies

To save the tiger, the following must be done with immediate effect -

1. Severe punishment like 15 years rigorous imprisonment or life in prison or death penalty for poaching. Note: Ignore human rights activists. They only talk for criminals.

2. Massively increase the forest cover of the country, so that the tiger habitat is increased. Note: This will also have many other environmental advantages.

3. Regulate human population growth. 1.1 billion is just too much. Note: This will also reduce poverty. We don't need to break our heads on the root causes of our sub-human standards of living.

By who and how do you think this will be done,Dravidian? By your Karunanidhi?
1)If the law makers are the law breakers,who will punich them?Most of the forest resources are eaten away by politician - official nexus. No way they can be punished;
2)When there's no place in the cities and villages for humans, they occupy forests. This leads to your point-3
3)Population.Who is responsible for it? the people of India.Try talking to 10 of your friends or relatives about this.Ask them to either NOT to have children or restrict it to just one.I will be happy if you are alive after that! Everyone wants to only preach about it, not practice. It is IMPOSSIBLE in a secular democracy of India to educate of impose.India needs dictatorship. Not democracy.

Shocking
by Ajmal Meethal on Oct 31, 2007 05:40 PM

This is a shocking set back for all wild life enthusiasts. It is high time we stepped up efforts to protect these royal wild animals. The royal bengal toger is majestic, we need to protect it for our futute generations to behold the sheer elegance.

Save Tiger
by Prem on Oct 31, 2007 05:36 PM

It seems that the only way tigers can be protected in our democracy is by giving voting rights to the animal and a special treatment as "minorities"! India is gradually becoming a sad state with each passing day... Hail Democracy!

Now the Number is down to 1,500 ODD...

This is Scary, Our Children will not see TIGERS in real Time.... Just like Dinosaurs they will also Vanish...

Actually Gladiator, a large human population is indeed a burden for other species. Don't look at it from an emotional view point. However, it is not just muslim population, but the entire Indian population, which is growing to ridiculously high levels.

Growth rate of Moosalmaan population is much higher than other comunities. This is itself a proof that their population is increasing dangerously for world peace.

GIVE TIGERS VOTING RIGHTS
by Erasmus on Oct 31, 2007 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

If tigers could vote, politicians would have given them reserve forests to make love and populate like crazy and probably imported few from bangladesh borders too.

Hence I propose, let the TIGERS, RHINOS and ELEPHANTS vote for next general elections.

1300 vs 1.1 billion
by Dravidian on Oct 31, 2007 05:24 PM  | Hide replies

India has 1300 tigers and 1.1 billion humans! Yet, neither do we try to increase the number of tigers, nor do we try to regulate the human population growth.
