Handover conservation to pvt organisations
by raag abb on Oct 31, 2007 05:53 PM

This is because there's too much politics involved in conservation policies. Can we trust government 'babus' to take care of our natural heritage? Give conservation to private parties and there might be some results. Pvt. bodies might conserve tigers for profit at least.

Our Officers/court can harrass and punish Salman Khan for a Chinkara which are in thousands, but cannot take any action on its administrative and law enforcing agency for the negligences. Our law does not permit it.

The chinkara is actually a critically endangered species. You can't directly compare the populations of herbivores and carnivores. Herbivore population should me much higher than carnivore, in order to sustain a healthy ecosystem.

I agree with your version, I wanted to emphasise the need to take stern action on administrative machinery.

Those who poach tigers, or endangered animals for that matter, should be given sever punishment. I think we should adopt the way Chinese handle this case.

If cow slaughtering is not a crime in India, how a tiger killing can be. Both should be brought under IPC 302 and every murderer of cows and tigers should be hanged till death.

I feel all types of cruelties towards animals are human disgrace..........See an animal in its eyes..........You will lose the courage of killing it.

I don;t agree with cow slaughter, but you can't compare cow and tiger killing. Tiger numbers are much lower and therefore, the punishment for killing tigers must be much more severe.

What is there in numbers? A killing is a killing. Humans are much more in numebrs than cows. Will you support killing human beings?

I did not support cow killings. I just said a tiger killing must be punished more severely. I also say that a tiger killing should be treated as a more severe crime than a human killing.

Killing any living thing is not the best thing to do..Let it be a cow, tiger, human or even a plant since it has life..But at least the endangered species should be preserved very carefully and the poachers should be punished severely..
