Incentivise Forest Deptt. officials & rangers
by vivek sharma on Oct 31, 2007 06:20 PM

Govtt. should work at ground level to overcome this problem. They should offer handsome salaries to the Forest deptt. officials & rangers who devote their lives to save our natural habitat. They indeed desreve appreciation . Govtt. should hire retired defence officials to drive these projects.

these landless people had atleast an voice to say give our lands back.......what voice poor wild animals had?.....like tribal people the wild animals habitats also losing rapidly.....the wild animals also have no land and water to live and come in confrontation with humans and get killed.....the thick jungles are being misused by maoists to hide and run their activities.....no wonder an ANDHRA minister once said remove all the forest cover in this state and you can rid of maoist menace.....the world's poorest nations are also one of the hottest regions.....the poor get directly affected by global warming.....we should use industrialisation for good causes like medical research and treatemnt not for making luxury goods like cars and jeans.......small scale industries and agriculture should be promoted and foremost...afterall man is no different from animal.....man also eats, sleeps and mates just like an animal....does humans need to do more than an animal does?.....the scientific research is infinitely going on without any conclusion....even if they go on to research for another thousand years they will not crack the secret of nature and cannot cure death for humans and protect earth from destruction from meteors.....

The Nexus has to be Broken
by Satyambada Anand on Oct 31, 2007 06:09 PM  | Hide replies

Why Project Tiger succeeded during the tenure of Mrs. Gandhi and why not during the sccesive Govt? The answer is simple. She was a nature lover and had the will to curb the menace. Non after her took the project seriously. The top leader should have will to save the Tiger.Unfortunately there is a nexus between the poacher, the police, the Forest official anbd the politician now because of the big money involved. Hence Tiger will get killed. We are more interested in Forex, BSE index etc. than saving the ecology. We seldom realise that unless our ecology survives, we cannot survive. The sooner we realise it is better.

The time is not too far; for the next generation to depend on Discovery Channel's Archieves to see a tiger. Why can't we enroll these poachers by some political parties so that they can continue poaching on opposition MLAs and MPs

Save the Wonderful anima.
by vivek sharma on Oct 31, 2007 06:03 PM

It is pity that such lovely & majestic animals are fighting hard to survive .
The govtt. needs to take serious concern by awarding death penalty to the blady poachers & shoot at sight orders. This is a shame to we human beings who are destroying natural habitats & forested just for making some money.

vanishing tigers
by PADMANABHAN N on Oct 31, 2007 05:53 PM

Let our generations see those tigers in animal planet or in some animated channels. We are again proving that we are only good in making Acts. How can these things happen without local politicians nexus. Inside the Parliament they make Acts and outside.. God save our country
