do you really care about a pakistani.. we consider them as the biblical "prodigal son".
most of them think how stupid to be not part of india.. i have personal experience from pakistani friends.. nobody wants to be called a pakistani..

maybe 20 years back, both countries were equally bad.. now india is a global power, pakistani is still struggling with taliban and other islamic fundamentalists..

do we really care them??

We sold them the plans and still beat them black and blue. Hah! Probably the Pakis would have been better off without the 'plans'.

Pak x-minister's claims
by Dragon Cares on May 08, 2007 05:33 AM

Hello Rediff guys:
You were not even born when our Manekshaw were fighting against Pak with our brave Indian soldiers at the border after 1947. Now, you people are throwing all kinds of bullshits articles to degrade our brave warriors like Manekshaw. Shame on you guys. You better need to learn more facts and truths about the war we had with Pak. Please NEVER NEVER NEVER INSULT/DE-GRADE OUR OWN BRAVE SOLDIERS. You people dont have any guts to go to the border and fight with enemies in the coldest environment; but you are all writing all these things while sitting in the air-conditioned room. In fact, people like you are the worst enemies of our country than Pak army. Shame on you guys to publish these nonsense issues.

Hello Rediff:

Dont your editors feel any shame of publishing this baseless words from our enemies? Dont your editors aware that by publishing these kind of bullshits, you are in fact insulting the brave contributions from our veteran solider Manekshaw? Is this the way we(Indians) treat our soldiers who protect our country by giving their life? Shame on you Rediff editors. You better leave the country and get the citizenship in Pakistan and throw all kinds of bullshits you want.

This is how you can gain milage and get back into lime lite
by BIPIN BHARGAVAN on May 08, 2007 05:25 AM

The Pakasthani have a culture to do something like this many times only to create a talk in between Countries and people and get popular othrwise who knows that this Ex general exists .
One should ignore such talks. This is cheap tactics to sell his Book ( Every body know how far PAkis can go to get media attention ).

No surprise even the Prez Mush and other people like the writer of Da Vinchi Code followed the same prinicple to promote their writings .

We should blame our media to get frenzy on such issues and broadcast for N numbere of hours to waste the nations time and the Promoters money.

Dear Prev Sharma, please use your mind. Can't you see that this is just a cunning & stupid statement by a jobless Pak Ex Minister to gain some free publicity.Since they couldn't win a war, the Pakis are indulging in such cheap tactics to defame our Hero. And ofcourse, an irresponsible & unpatriotic act by Rediff & other media to give importance to such nonsense. And dont you dare to doubt the integrity & loyality of our Men in Uniform. The Safety & Freedom you enjoy in this country is due to the Supreme Sacrifice made our soldiers at the borders. So if you cannot thank them, so be it, but don't even think about doubting them. - Ex Major of the INDIAN ARMY.

Dear Prev,

I do agree with you that we cant be 100% sure whether the plans were sold or not, but we are atleast 100% sure that whatever stuff was sold to them was of no use to them, otherwise they would have won the war, infact the stuff sold to them could have misguided them and could have eventually led to Indian victory. So your argument that Gen Manekji(fondly called so by Sardar Patel) is a traitor is a fallacy

Because we won the wars...

Actually there can be another angle. May be Indian intelligence actually got a one up on pakistanis, and sold them concocted war plans! Looks like the ex minister and pakistanis still believe what they got was right, after not havign won anyhthing in the wars and actually getting baaaaddly crushed and spanked in some of them.
The only war for which they have something to speak for is the 47 one when they got portion of kashmir, and then too it was more back stabbing which is exactly what we should expect from pakistanis. That's what their "heroes" have done through the history. Like the one who begged for life after being badly defeted and promised in return never to look back but again back stabbed the gracious Indian king. If you do not know who I am talkng about go read some history and get educated about "pakistani kind".

Rediff is perfect example of 'CHEAP, GUTTER PRESS'
by Ary Doriz on May 08, 2007 04:58 AM

When you read the front page, the headline says:
'PAK EX-MINISTER "SAYS" MANEKSHAW SOLD WAR PLANS'.
Now read here, the word "SAYS", suddenly changes into "IMPLIES'.
Either rediff editors do not know English or they would stoop how so ever low to create a sensational story.
