Now it is high time that a law should be made to protect the innocents and a compensation must be fixed for such innocent detainees.
No one on earth has right to deprive fellow citizen's right and destroy lives in the name of religion, caste, creed or security.
And a punishment must be introduced for spies , informers and intelligence agents including deranking and lowering their profiles for troubling innocents without proper investigation.
Unless the investigation is complete no one in this country has right to torture others in the name of security and agencies. Nobody has right to destruct lives of fellow citizens.
Following are some statements from this article and my thoughts on them.
1) "Will somebody now tell me what my crime was? Was it being a Kashmiri?". >> Nope, it was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Any country will try whatever it can to protect itself. Be it USA, India, Israel or even Pakistan. The methods can be cruel and inhuman, but in the minds of those in securtiy agencies, they are needed to protect the nation. - BTW: why we keep hearing these kind of comments like "we are targets becasue we belong to minority" etc..
2) "Finally the judiciary came to Dar's rescue. Following an order by a Delhi court, he was released last Wednesday." >>> What does it show? It confirms that in Indian we still have a law to follow and courts still have freedom to free an innocent person. This is much better than places where people are held without charges (USA) for years after years.
Some times innocent people get sucked in the system and are subject to torture, and I think that is horrible, but one should jump to conclusion that it was due to one's religion...
My religion is way better than yours! The hell it's not! It's your religion that's deplorable! Watch your language, mate! It's your religion that sucks, not mine! And the saga continues.
Supposedly gifted with an intelligence superior to animals, man continues to behave worse than them. Man is not only arrogant, pigheaded, and stubborn, man also hates man and fights and squabbles over petty things, to the point that man wants to, and frequently does, slit the throat of man.
Animals ruled the earth for millions of years, survived for millions of years, until nature led them to extinction, but man, he's just been around for a few thousand years, and he's already on the verge of bringing about extinction to his own kind, and bringing the world to extinction as well.
It all boils down to the so-called intelligence that man has. Well, I personally believe animals are better off dominating this world than man. And that's the only thing that can bring humanity to its senses.

The religion is better whose believe is in only One and Eternal and the Most Powerful God that rules this universe and heavens with justice.
This whole universe is made for the mankind to live in not the animals. After heavens man landed to earth to live in. So animals in no ways can be better than Mankind. How could men themselves call inferior to animals who are not at all comparable with exceptional man.
Man is far superior and better than Jinns, Angels, birds and animals.
I feel our police, intelligence(RAW) and counter insurgency agencies need to shed their old and futile methods of arresting suspects, torturing and interrogating them. Never has any hardcore terrorist yielded breakthrough information during interrogation. They also misuse the judiciary process and obtain bail etc. (Afzal is still away from the noose). In the process govt earns a bad reputation of detaining so called "INNOCENT" victims of suspicion.
Its high time, our intelligence systems start operating undercover like many western nations are doing. If you have a suspect, follow him, track him and when you are confirmed of his criminal and terrorist links, JUST ELIMINATE him without raising an alarm. May be a fatal accident! This is the only way to wipe out terrorism, insurgency and all such anti-national movements, without even the media bringing it up for comments, reviews and BLOGS.
Our police and other intelligence agencies just want to take credit of even the most insignificant capture so that the press reports it as a BREAKTHROUGH. They want to be seen in press photographs with the shackled terrorist.
If the intelligence system is so intelligent and efficient, why their movements are being obbserved by the press. This way Indian government can NEVER eliminate terrorism, when all they want to do is to hog the limelight.
But then again the Police should not be a part of such operation. As we all know that Police actions are highly shortsighted and mainly targeted at personal gains only, with scant concern for national security. Real innocent persons may get killed. It should be a covert operation meticulously carried out only by the intelligence agency after ascertaining the actual involvement of the suspect in terrorist activities.

hey, jus bcoz Dar is kashmiri or Muslim, it ddin't happen to him. Indian police and intelligence system are like that. even if it was a hindu who dabbled li'el bit in pak or ban'esh he 'ld 've been arrested.
